Bonjour, Hello ! I got a blue one and I like it very much. Very goog engine. Thank you for sharing your trip. Could you tell me what support you use for your GPS. Thank you from Bordeaux, France.
Bonjour Wayne, I used a RAM mount that slots into a gopro mount no drilling required i also stuck a rubber dampener on the horizontal ram mount for extra support, the Garmin Zumo XT i hardwired using a T tap electrical connectors using the wiring for the auxiliary plug, the Garmin Zumo XT now turns on and of with the ignition and when you park the Zumo XT can be removed from its mount using the zumo quick release hope this helps.
Hi negatives have you found. How do you find the power is it ok should do one with there 560cc engine. How’s the handling compared to a regular bike. Would get one of these over Yamaha XSR 125
Only negative is when you first ride it as said before in other replies they are top heavy so you need time to just get used to it, but once you have dialed them in ie left foot down on junctions and you can also cover the weight with the stand assist they become a breeze to ride the power is enough no lag on take off and i have cruised at 70mph on the motorway no problem at all in fact around town i have bluetooth headset linked to my Garmin Zumo XT to warn me of the speed because you can be lost in the moment so the warning in your ear keeps you in check 😉
Brilliant machine mine just had recall done after waiting a year even though i never had any problems only with insurance cancelled because they said if was unstable load of rubbish they are not
I think when people first buy them they are top heavy compared to a normal motorbikes but with practice especially low speed you get used to it, to replace the clutch and rear brake of a normal motorcycle slow manoeuvres i find using the left brake keeping the throttle slightly open gives a similar feel to a clutched motorbike, but caution is needed with these or you will feel instability on very slow manoeuvres with these especially on inclines with lack of thottle causing it to roll back or drop, reading the forums you see a lot of people drop them because of the above statement. I will totally agree with you once you are used to them they are very fun to ride and a good tourer being very economical with fuel.
Hi John its a Garmin Zumo XT brilliant bit of kit there are plenty of reviews on here 👍 glad you choose the Yamaha you will love it but take your time they are top heavy be aware of that and you will quickly get used to it good luck and safe riding
@@ph5056 i bought mine purely for leasure but they are a good all rounder to commute to work or as a tourer good economy with fuel and now couple of years from release proven reliability 👍
