After seeing your video i can now easily go to any showroom and take test drive of an Automatic car , you would have notice in all brand showrooms if you like to do test drive of any Automatic car , first thing the sales man will ask is do you have Automatic car already or you have experience in driving Automatic car , if you say no i have manual car then yo can see their looks some what they get scared , this question to any manual car owner will irritate, of course they can teach how to drive in a nutshell ,but videos like this in detail will make us prepared in that situation and we can strongly tell them this is how it works :) Thank you for the wonderful virtual hands on session..
Hello and thank you for making these videos about the Jimny. Currently I am waiting for my own Jimny to arrive from Japan, and your videos are most interesting. I do hope you will make another one soon. Best of luck!
Hi Ritesh. Hope you're well. I really like all the videos youve created. Im getting my Alpha AT in a few days, it is going to be my first car ever. I was wondering if you could create a video for people who are not too familiar with cars. Things to take care of, like coolant, engine etc, the correct ways to clean the car, what are the things to check when the car doest start, tyre pressure, explaining the different parts under the bonnet and their uses, the correct way to change tyres etc. Basically a Hands On starter kit of sorts. :)
Really great info. When I reverse my Jimmy I was scared abt the spare wheel and the camera indication. After seeing this video I am now clear I can easily go till red line mark. Thanks Ritesh for this video
Looked at it at the dealer, love it, Intend to own one soon. That said, seems they were trying to make it look similar to the Jeep. DISLIKES: I think they could have made the cabin 4 or so inches wider by reducing the width of the plastic fender fairings while maintaining the same overall body width. Back of vehicle could be about 6 or so inches longer giving more space behind rear seats and better overall looks. Latch attatchments for rear seat back protrudes too much. Boot acces door does not open all the way. Dashboard is too blocky looking in design. Front indicators, could be wrap around. Tail lights on bumper. LIKES: 4WD. Good ground clearance (real off road, not wanna be). Manual shift for 4WD (no button select). Loaded features.
The bottle and phone holder did u make a video while installing urs ..... I need to know the way u have installed it I truly admire the hack #4 it truly innovation.... Plz do make a dedicated video of that hack as it's quite useful
I was sorry to hear about the various issues with beeps & engine shut off. Because I honestly believe Suzuki should understand that buyers are not fans of complexity, unless it's by Law. My question - As an Australian interested in the Jimny (3 & 5 door versions), I am curious about quality control. Is the 5 door made in Japan or India? Is Suzuki honourable with Warranty claims? Or are they like so many car manufacturers, and try to screw you once you have been sold the vehicles? The colour - Dark blue/black certainly looks very nice indeed. Sophisticated 😉. As for that all chrome grill - I agree. To me it's kind of over the top. I'm sure that there are many after market options available. If not in India, then in Phillipines & Australia for sure.
It's a great car both on road and off road - perfect for a small family that loves a li'l bit of adventure and needs a practical fun to drive car for the city 👍. Thank you for watching and your wonderful comments.
Steering spinners are illegal in many countries, as drivers can get these caught in shirt sleeves, which had led to fatal accidents. Illegal in Southern Africa since the 1950's, for instance.
I am/was almost on the verge of selling off my JIMNY MT ( June 2023) just for this one shocking discovery after buying without a test drive.... Turning radius is so bad that at u turns u almost give others around a feeling as if u are still learning driving.... Now that I see some hope, kindly advise if steering spinners are SAFE & LEGAL in India....and from where to buy it for how much.... Shall be obliged.... Allow me to thank u and my other technical genius friend who hs shared these 5 hacks beautiful sorting out.... God bless ❤
Simply put: OD remains on or engaged by default - only then will your car go into the 4th gear with OD off, it will be restricted till 3rd gear only! You should turn off OD for: overtaking on the highway when you need more power suddenly or in heavy traffic so that the car the car does not shift to 4th and then gear up again when you brake, that may give you better fuel efficiency - with OD off, the RPMs will be higher and the more power will be available at short notice, almost instantly. Hope that Clarifies. Good Luck.
I have booked a Jimny and will be taking delivery in a few weeks. I have always driven manual transmission so tried to learn about AT from RU-vid. Your videos are by far the best. You explain it in such a simple manner that even a layman can understand easily. I have subscribed to your channel, and liked all videos. I have not only seen the videos several times but also made a note of your tutorials so that I can refer to them later when I start driving. Glad that you bought a Jimny to clarify doubts of subsequent Jimny buyers like me. Waiting for more such fantastic videos.
Thank you for your glowing feedback and compliments - this is music to my ears and frankly the reason why a lot of us make YT videos - its indeed very gratifying to hear your candid thoughts, glad you find it useful, cheers 😊. Great decision to buy the Jimny - my best wishes for your Jimny ownership experience - you will certainly enjoy the ride, Good luck 👍
Hi Ritesh. Can the gear shift from L or 2 to D while the car is in motion or do you need to stop and then change it. Also, what are you views on a PPF for the Jimmy. Do you think it's worth it? Thanks. Planning to a buy the Alpha soon.
Hi Manish, yes you can shift from L to 2 to D - its advised that you do it at low speeds and not rev the engine while you are shifting! I am not in favor of either doing PPF or various kinds of coatings like Ceramic / Nano etc. First of all, why do we need them suddenly, secondly they are so expensive, you can get your entire car painted a couple of times in the same price plus it comes with more problems like quality, improper installation, replacement cost, yellowing, rust sometimes when moisture gets trapped etc etc. My biggest consideration is that its harmful for the environment - more plastic, more chemicals, more water contamination etc. etc. this product is purely a innovation to make money, completely avoidable in my view. Hope this helps. Good luck with your new ride, Cheers 👍
Thanks a ton. I was hoping for this answer. I too kept wondering the same thing, one can get the car painted a few times at that price. And yes, the other points also make sense. Thank you :)
What a great video👌👌👌. Kudos to you for coming up with so informative video which pretty much covers every aspect that any jimny owner would now be able to easily toggle between gears and levers👏👏👏
You are very perceptive viewer - Thanks for noticing and complimenting - will certainly convey you gratitude! Just sharing with you that the wizard behind the camera is my son, Shaurya, a gifted Camera person now studying film professionally to become an expert on it, Cheers 👍
Contemplating a 5-dr auto Jimny GLX and then to fit an 80l long range tank, a better speaker set from JBL, and a fridge in the back, to keep the meat fresh. We don't drink. Suspension setup will remain standard. It is stupid to fit lift kits as it doesn't increase ground clearance after all. (The diffs still sit at the same height, 210mm on Jimny is adequate.)
Go for it, its a great car! 80L tank makes a lot of sense since it does take frequent trips to the gas station. The top spec 5 door here in India called the Alpha comes with an Arkamys tuned audio system and i find it pretty adequate but i must admit that i am not an audiophile! On the fridge and the rear setup - don't have any experience on that but i just want to add some info that you might find useful, the rear seats on the 5 door do not fold flat like they do in the 3 door version, so you may want to check that bit! You are bang on - i too find the ground clearance and suspension set up more than adequate 👍 Good luck for you new ride, Cheers.
Hello Sir.waiting for new video from your side. I am thinking to name my Jimmy Ibex.. if you like, I will buy my Jimmy ext April 2025 while I am coming back to India my home after missing for last 20 years, please respond. Thanks
The automatic transmission dipstick can be checked on the Jimny. The engine must be hot and running in park, and the dipstick is located near the firewall on the battery side. Just needs to be checked every service. I think the fluid is jws3309. If you're off roading and your left foot is getting hot, probably better to stop, and drive in low-range to reduce the pressure on the auto. The enemy to autos is heat.
Drive in 2High in L, should be adequate - the hill hold works well on the Jimny. However if the gradient is very high and road slippery causing loss of traction, you can shift to 4High and that should do the trick. Be careful, cheers and good luck 👍
