Welcome! I love to share the little things in my corner of the world and hope you share yours with me. I enjoy sharing my garden and patio, hiking and travel adventures, photography, writing, digital Bible journaling, tea adventures and teaching Photoshop and photography. Find organized class guides on my website. There are thousands of pages on my website and most videos on RU-vid are embedded on one of the pages with more details. Links to specific website pages are in the description of each video.
Oh hey! It’s so good to see you! Your videos have not showed up in my stream so I’ll have to come make a point to look at your videos. There were children on the Current River and I know you have the skill level. I think you just need to, get over your fear and go with some people you trust. Of course, always respect the river. It can be dangerous. But the only way to learn to read the river is to go and do it. My kayak buddy moved to the state of Washington. I need a new kayak buddy. I went this time with my son, but he’s not going to be around normally.
@@HikingWithShawn I can see that being scary if you don’t swim well. Everyone “swims” some. Most of the time when I flip I can either stand up or just half swim to the bank. But there are those other situations. It’s always best to stick together as a buddy system to help each other out if needed.
Thank you for taking the time to listen and comment. I am really like it. I am trying to think where I can spread it to elsewhere in the garden. Mine are just blooming for the first time, but I saw some photos online of larger groupings of them that were just beautiful.
@@MyCornerOnline I planted shorter ones this time. Not sure of the varieties, but one is red and another has purplish flowers. I had one already last season that was my “Queen of the garden”, she was pink and over three feet tall and just as wide. I divided her this year. Still pretty new to the Monarda world so I’m still discovering what’s out there 😁
@@SpruceDodger Ah! "Queen of the Garden" -- love it! Thanks for sharing. I try to stick with pinks and purples, with some yellow as a theme in my garden. No reds. I also try to stick with 2 foot and under plants mostly just because I am trying to make the garden easier on me as I get older. The bigger it is, the more work to get rid of it when it is cut back. I love that you divided it already though! It sounds gorgeous! I love my Bubble Gum one that is new here. It is a perfect height and showy and I cannot wait to divide it too!
@@MyCornerOnline Oh, I can't wait to see that. Also, I told my mother about your flowers, and she told me that she had an allium flower that she bought at the market, but after it bloomed, it died.
@@maggie_grc Yes. Alliums are bulbs. Like all bulbs, they bloom for a while and then die. You have to leave the leaves until they die back as the nutrients go back into the bulb. If you bought them at a market, they would not be planted in the ground. If you plant them in the ground, you may not get flowers the next year, but they should come up and you can let the leaves die back and then you would get flowers the next year.
Thanks kindly for the comment. I still remember these places and am ready to visit again! Shhh. Don't tell anyone about them. I like my favorite places less crowded. lol
Im watching this today on may 15 2024...i loved seeing the older footage when branson was great to visit...thank u for sharing it...brought back so many memories to me
Hello there! Just found your channel, as I'm drinking this exact tea (well from 2023). I agree with your assessment - the cinnamon is not there. There's maybe a bit of a dry tingle. I found the dominant tastes/aromas were roasted, wood, roots. Kind of reminded me of toasted tobacco (from eons ago when I smoked) but without tobacco's astringency. No chocolate or fruity notes as the yunnan sourcing description said either, but I'm not disappointed. I really like this tea. Funny thing though - I found another ooling (also from yunnan sourcing) the "Fancy Tie Guan Yun of Anxi Iron Goddess Oolong Tea of Fujian" absolutely had a pronounced cinnamon/clove bite, which was very interesting. I was confused!
How fun! Another person just like me! It loves all the little nuances and picking them out about tea. I might’ve had that Tia Guan Yin. I am currently stuck on one from Yunnan sourcing called Ben Shan (I think). I love roasted oolongs. So stuck on them. I have not been able to do a tea tasting video in a while, but I hope to do some someday.
@@MyCornerOnline I hope you enjoy whatever you happen to have in your cup :) Yeah! I'm really liking roasted oolongs as well. I want to try more of them.
I wonder if it would ship okay and not die for postal delays. Hmm. I could dig up one as they do spread slowly and I have extra. I think you might be able to grow it as a houseplant. I'm not sure. It would be fun to try.
That may be how mine got there too. They do spread but they also easily pull out in the Spring. if you want to keep some in your bed, just be sure to recognize the leaves and pull them early in the year (Spring) and keep it maintained to a small space. The leaves look just like crocus leaves to me only a little taller.
You're welcome! And thanks for the comment. I am actually about to record a new video with more details on Purple Poppy Mallow soon. I'm waiting for it to get to blooming more.
Love it -- Transplant tag-a-longs! What a fun phrase! Yes, the coreopsis must have been underground when I moved it. It'll look great when the Hanging Bells are dying back to cover it up. What a happy happenstance of a tag-a-long!
I’m ready to do it again! We went the other way too. The next year. There’s a video. Link in description should take you to website where both videos are embedded. I like the trip to the tunnel better. But next time we might go from the tunnel north and back.
@@gravelcasualbikepacking5475 I am in Missouri too! Cape Girardeau. Yes. Did part of Katie Trail last year. I’ve a video on it. I enjoy St Joe’s trail too.
This was REALLY cool to see. I came down from Milwaukee and ended up just up the hill from you. I'm fact, when you pan up the hill, I can almost see myself sitting under that gazebo. It was really neat to see a recap of the event and then all the social media traffic frenzy spliced in!
Also, on my substack post, I link you to Facebook videos from others that are really cool. It’s under same name of My Corner Online. open.substack.com/pub/mycorneronline/p/my-solar-eclipse-video-and-photos?r=680c&
@@MyCornerOnline We were just west of Poplar Bluff on Highway 60 in SEMO. We drove from Denver to see it. You really do capture the shared experience.
This was our experience. I was more focused on my DSLR than my video. Should have used intervolometer mode. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nKKwdCKSOek.htmlsi=aN_CWBX4jIy2y5UE
This is my only way to chat with you. lol You should remove the "for kids only" on all your videos. That is confusing. It got me for a while too. It doesn't mean it is safe for all, it means adults are restricted and you have to have a "kid app." No one can comment. I LOVE the video of the eclipse you made! I love that it has my truck is in it and it shows a different perspective of the same event I watched. I will be sharing your video and I am also going to share it in my Substack. My video is up! But I still need to make my composite.
I love it! County and school pride shows itself here. That’s awesome. I do love My Missouri, even the rural parts people call home. (Just not at dusk when I need to pitch a tent 🏕️ lol)
