@@maggie_grc Yes. Alliums are bulbs. Like all bulbs, they bloom for a while and then die. You have to leave the leaves until they die back as the nutrients go back into the bulb. If you bought them at a market, they would not be planted in the ground. If you plant them in the ground, you may not get flowers the next year, but they should come up and you can let the leaves die back and then you would get flowers the next year.
