I never knew the close connection Rick and David had to listening to this. I still grieved the loss of David’s passing even today and probably will for the rest of my life like I do John Lennon Greg Lake and a select few welders. What a talent Rick Wakeman is. Peace.

It's really odd, never liked Oasis and Liam is an absolute tool but I love him to bits, Noel is seemingly less of a tool but can't stand him 🤣. Sidenote I don't actually know anything about them and they could well both be great.
William Miller, son of Jonathan has written a lovely autobiography of growing up in Gloucester Crescent at this time. He talks about hearing nothing but the clacking of typewriters all along the Crescent as the day’s great writers and intellectuals all lived in the vicinity. Bennett was often in their kitchen being fed by Dr Miller. Funnily enough, the lady and the van doesn’t get much of a mention.
Zola Budd was in front, therefore it's the responsibility of the athlete behind to watch where you're going. Mary Decker actually caught Budd's foot just before the main incident, but she kept getting too close on the inside and the next time they contacted, the race was over for Decker. It's all water under the bridge now, but the incident was 100% Decker's fault!!!
Whatever happened it's become one of the most famous moments in olympic history - if nothing had happened who would have remembered the race or who won,?
