The first time I heard this song I was watching the movie Eddie and the Cruisers. Michael Pa're was lip syncing so well I thought he was the original singer.
Interesting fact: Eddie and the Cruisers bombed when it was released, but the music video On the Dark Side became very popular on MTV and that helped the movie become popular on HBO. So, the producers decided to make a sequel, Eddie and the Cruisers 2: Eddie Lives...which bombed.
