@ExploringwiththeJones I have seen much larger Rissaga than this. About 20 years ago I was sitting my with Dad at a café in Ciutadella. The streets were layered here, and we were on the top layer looking down over the sea. The sea began to slowly rise, and just kept on rising. To me as a child, it felt like the world was ending. The lower levels all got ruined because the boats parked there were lifted up and took out all of the chairs and tables at the sea front cafés. As a child I thought it was scary but also very cool. Obviously not so for the people who lost their businesses and possessions. My father ran down the hill to help an older man retrieve his boat before it drifted away.
Do you know what area you're in. Everything at butlins is in very good walking distance. Or if you have problems walking, there are plenty of places to stop off for a rest or a cheeky drink 🍸
You look to have had a great time! We’re booked to come in the summer, but with most of the pool being closed we’re worried about what we’ll do to fill the time. We usually spend 5 out of 7 days in the pool for 2-3 hours each time. Have Butlin’s put any extra activities / entertainment on to compensate for the pool closure? I’ve only heard roller skating mentioned. I don’t think the fairground would cope with all those extra people that would usually be in the swimming pool.
Not gonna lie butlins this year wasn't the greatest with most the pool being closed, the app was down for couple of days so you had to go book swimming, which was quite hard for us as we have 3 kids 1 of them being type 1 by 9:30 it was fully booked, very rude butlins discovery staff went and asked about the app I then made a comment saying maybe we shouldn't of came this year to then get told we don't want you here, also the fairground wasn't open alot as well. Bumpers cars were all pack away. The area was used as a storage centre, and the waltzers weren't open it was fenced off before you got to it.
@@ExploringwiththeJonesThanks for the reply. Sorry the staff were so rude, that’s not on. I’ve swear more and more people working in hospitality don’t seem to like people! That’s what I was afraid of, I understand the pool situation is out of their hands, but how they handle the disappointment of their guests is not. Roller skating is a start, but they need far more to compensate for the lack of pool. They need to open all the fair and have every ride open, put on more entertainment in the sky line, have more red coats around to up the holiday spirit… I’m sure they could get creative! Ah well, we’ll enjoy ourselves regardless as it’s always nice to get away and make the most of things. Really enjoyed your video - trying to resist watching the circus bits as I’m really looking forward to seeing it in person. Hope you have another holiday to look forward to - I hate the-holiday-is-over blues.
@seashore895 100% a holiday is whatever you make of it. After a couple of days we managed to get to swimming and watched the circus. We also managed to make up our own games we did a little hunt around butlins and played hide and seek
Spent many happy holidays there. We booked for a week and on handing the keys back booked for the following year. Had everything to keep the kids entertained from dawn till late and a cracking beach too. Crying out for something to replace it
I went there as a kid, this video is a true liminal space for me right now. edit: liminal confirmed 8:41 Tier 3 SCP (A.K.A SCP-003 - Biological Motherboard) XD
Yeah, I've seen quite a few videos around skegness and how bad the weather was. The problem is when it rains loads, butlins leaks we were In the swimming pool and we had quite a bit of rain 1 day they ended up closing the upstairs due to the amount of water getting in
@@ExploringwiththeJones left butlins yesterday, now to be honest it was great but when looking around we noticed there was no redcoats around, rooms were dirty, and basically everything else was dirty, now i understand there was a storm but i noticed nothing was open on the fairground except waltzer and a few others, the water park was starting to feel run down ,they had to close some areas due to the lack of life guards. Butlins needs a lot of improving in my opinion
