i did not drive a defender to know the difference. Only drove this and a cf moto. And this is light years quieter than the CF moto. I have no issues with the noise in the cab in the Polaris. The noise in the cab turned me completely off from the cf moto however. I was about to deal on the cf moto, until I test drove it.
Before you go out and buy all that equipment you're talking about consider a little bit bigger tractor I have this little subcompact like you've got there and it really just doesn't have a lot of power as far as the PTO goes you said you wanted a 5 ft box greater Blade no way will this tractor pull it I've got a 4-foot went on mine and you really can't pull a whole lot of dirt and gravel with it a little tractor just can't do it when I plow my garden the tires spin quite a bit there's just not enough weight there to do a decent job plowing and the thing that I really hate the most is if you get the bucket really full of dirt or gravel it just doesn't want to lift it the tractor starts bucking up and down enough that you really wish you had put the seat belt on
i am on the 5th year with the tractor and love it. I own a 4 foot box blade and pulls its loaded with gravel easily. Sounds like you need some rear ballast when you use your loader. I have never had my tractor buck up and down using the loader. Watch my other videos to see how loaded i have had my bucket with logs, many times! I would love a bigger tractor, but going one size up with a backhoe was literally twice the price. Cant justify that. The thing I wish I had the most was a cab.
Great review - thanks! I just ordered a 2025 XP 1000 Northstar-premium. Will be a month or so before it’s delivered. Looking forward to learning from your videos!! Thanks again!!
thank you! I m actually kind of upset about the 2025's coming out so early.. I would never of bought this had I known they would be out a few weeks later. What company releases their 2025's in the beginning of 24? Just a little jealous!
Did you feel like the mirrors squeeze the plastic quite a bit? And yes I installed mine today and couldn’t tell if I was supposed to to line up on the hole or by the edges. Took some trial and error. Had to file the holes a little bit but over all came out good.
Yes I felt it squeezed it a bit. But I trusted the spacers. Tightened them right up and no issues. Probably made the door more solid lol. Yes I do not like how the templates are done. Stupid. Polaris templates too. A simple tiny divot on the door from Factory would solve that! I do love having mirrors though! How did you like them?
@@acreageliving I’m on my 3rd northstar. I had the seizmik mirrors that mounted with the 1 bolt through the plastic rivet on the first one. Worked ok. Then on 2nd one I had these, took a minute to figure out the template, but worked ok. I picked up a 2024 ultimate 2 days ago and I overthunk the template and ended up having to enlarge a couple holes to make it work. Luckily the plates cover it up. I don’t like how much it squeezes the plastic but it’s the only way to get them not to move. I ordered a 1/16 sheet of rubber that I’ll cut and install in between the mount and door when it comes in. But I might not.
@@harleyguy932I didn’t worry as I know the Polaris ones do the same thing when you tighten. My Moms bf has the Polaris mirrors. But i know what you mean. My one door seemed to compress much more than the others too. So probably helping hold the door together lol. They should include rubber seals, give it a much better seal and grip
Been enjoying your videos. I liked your idea about switching out the silver-colored screws for the black ones. Is that still on your to-do list or did that not pan out?
I love the power of my Husqvarna and the ease of starting it. This is the one issue that I've had that baffles me. I have replaced the bar several times and used different brands and nothing seems to work for long before it binds up and won't move. I owned a craftsman for years and never had this problem. I've spent more money on bars than the chainsaw cost. I never knew the sprocket had to be greased. I assumed that occurred as oiler oiled the chain and it passed the sprocket. I will try greasing it and test it out.
Well I can say for sure that Massey Ferguson will screw you how about a 2022 tractor I looked under the hood and all the parts and tags under the hood showed that they were two years old
Is the battery charging port a standard plug or some Polaris proprietary plug? I haven't been able to find much about it. And agree, why put it on the inside?
it looks standard size to me thankfully, but i havent tried it out yet. Will have to do that, i had the same questions as you! Not much info out there on it!
I read that the cut out was so you could put a 5 gal bucket there, but sub woofer makes sense since this is the big baller model. My Ranger Premium has a tool bin that uses that space and under the center seat. Plenty of space for tools.
yes thats true! I would rather have a storage bin than a pail cut out personally. There is also pail cut outs in the box. That is good that yours came with storage, how it should be!
I just purchased this unit and the deciding factor for me between this and the can am defender was watching an oil change on each and that swung me immediately to the polaris
No it will get by the corners. I wash my bed quite a bit. Also my bed has drains in the front. But water does not pool at the back at all. No worries there
scratches are for sure unavoidable if you go down trails like they are made for!! As much as these cost, the entire exterior should come linexed lol jk. I just hope to keep the painted surfaces looking decent lol
Mine freezes between the switch back and forth some times between display and the reverse camera and it won’t let me turn the radio up or down or do anything
Absolutely love driveway work, scraping of gravel, grading the ground, skid steer work.... It is instant gratification! Need more please. Liked, Viewed, Subscribed, Commented!
