a little more umph in the hook set will go a long way. I use 30 to 80 lb mono and I try to pull just hard enough and quick enough for the hook to spin them around. if they feel bigger sometimes I'll give it a second pull when they are swimming away. good video though! go get em!
You gonna be getting out there this year ? I’m going to be going down that way to catch some big cats . Tired of these little channels up here by Cumberland lol we need them flatheads to get above dam 5 lol
Good job gentlemen, I've never ever caught a Muskie before. Little advice, you might want to bring a hand net with you next time. Those rocks looks almost treacherous as the great falls and chain Bridge area.
I luv fishing those muddy waters like that, place where I grew up at had a creek and every time we had strong storms we we would fish it, it would swell up over its banks and every time you cast boom every time too, I had a good child hood can't complain, peace to every one
Bro carp taste pretty good for real. Fillet one and cut into mcnugget size pieces marinate in milk and spices then dip un flour/spice mix then back in milk then in cornmeal and fry
Man I do the same thing, any time someone asks for fish I give them up, you never know what people are going through and the next meal is on me. Makes me feel good to know that others are doing this too.
Thank you majorly for the turtle advice. I been seriously struggling with turtles at my carp spot, which sucks because you can average 10 lb fish at this spot. Imma give it a try
@@thathookset1424 oh man thank you so much for the reply. I would of never thought great falls had flats. I’ve fished leesburg and all i catch is channels. Thank you
