So basically the park district manages to quit with the BS and get something done in 1/11th of the time. And yet the Current board hides plans and ruins oak Park Ave, completely ruining Tinley Parks History and making it look god awful. Losing businesses faster than a ghetto, Police department mass quitting. The entire tinley board should resign because they do not act for the people of the Village.
Mayor Glotz , your transparency in this instance is to be applauded. Politics is a very messy business that often forgets that it is the people (the citizens) whose safety and well-being should be placed first. That is a wonderful property at a very accessible location. It can have a sports center, theater, and restaurants that would be beneficial to the village and the citizens of Tinley Park. We have to flex and show that we can compete with the likes of Napervile and other suburbs when it comes to businesses, schools, and quality of life. This would be a great place to lure the "Windy City Bulls" to. Just saying . . . .

This mayor has taken steps to harm people. He was working with the now village manage to take out mayor Vandenberg. This mayor stopped public meetings and takes donations from business when they come in. I heard he tried to get his wife a second job. True mayor?
Great work Mayor Glotz and Trustees..its a disgrace what the Park District did to the Citizens of our Village. Its a shame how people attack the administration with out right lies, and character assignation. Vandenberg’s administration destroyed our great city.
Thank you very much for the information and for using facts and data. So many people get brain washed based on speculation and rumors. Ultimately, we all want the property to be developed to it's best use and without negatively affecting tax payers. It's a shame it has been mired in politics and personality disputes. Why no mention of the significant money this board takes in Donations, especially from the gaming industry, and Rick Heidner. The mayor helped them find new property to purchase to move the racino to. He then proposed the village buy the property from him, pay fees, move required water without a study on the property.

It's a shame Tinley Park bought the naming rights to this establishment. Tinley Park is another greedy suburb of Chicago and will be leased by someone politically connected and the atmosphere will never be the same.
I am from Oak Forest but live in Dallas now. My friends and I used to work at Panduit. We would open up after work at 7 am. We would get the dirtiest looks from the locals leaving at 9:30 to 10:00 am Great memories of the times I cannot remember with the friends I will never forget.
Thank you, Regis Teehan, for these wonderful stories of the history of Teehan's and your role in it! The first time I stepped foot into Teehan's was the late 1970's when there was a horse on the building across the street. When my wife and I moved into Tinley in 1986, I'd find a way to get up to Teehan's and watch the NBA playoffs before we had cable TV at home. Really well done videos, too.
