Mayor Michael Glotz addresses questions about the Tinley Park Mental Health Center property, with a focus on using facts and on-screen evidence to clear up several misconceptions about the Village's role in its sale and development.
Mayor Glotz , your transparency in this instance is to be applauded. Politics is a very messy business that often forgets that it is the people (the citizens) whose safety and well-being should be placed first. That is a wonderful property at a very accessible location. It can have a sports center, theater, and restaurants that would be beneficial to the village and the citizens of Tinley Park. We have to flex and show that we can compete with the likes of Napervile and other suburbs when it comes to businesses, schools, and quality of life. This would be a great place to lure the "Windy City Bulls" to. Just saying . . . .
This mayor has taken steps to harm people. He was working with the now village manage to take out mayor Vandenberg. This mayor stopped public meetings and takes donations from business when they come in. I heard he tried to get his wife a second job. True mayor?
EXACTLY! They should have been dancing in unison while doing sign language... I hear Mayor Glotz hates the hearing impaired. Better yet, they should have repeated his statement in rounds... like row, row, row your boat. That would've gotten the message across... I hear Mayor Glotz hates music.
Not entirely sure what the point of this was. Its time to move on. I hope you work with the park district to make the property accessible to the neighborhoods around it.
I’m still looking for all their open meetings on the additional 50 million they’re putting in the harmony Square. How much did they spend of taxpayer money on his second choice for the racino.? The property by Amazon.
Thank you very much for the information and for using facts and data. So many people get brain washed based on speculation and rumors. Ultimately, we all want the property to be developed to it's best use and without negatively affecting tax payers. It's a shame it has been mired in politics and personality disputes. Let's all work together from now on.
Why no mention of the significant money this board takes in Donations, especially from the gaming industry, and Rick Heidner. The mayor helped them find new property to purchase to move the racino to. He then proposed the village buy the property from him, pay fees, move required water without a study on the property.
Great information, and appreciate your transparency. Sounds like hastings would've went through with anything as long as you supported him. That's f'ed up! Scum politician if true
Hold on… aren’t you the shamed former TP trustee who shared confidential village to a dude suing the village? Then got caught with your hand in the cookie jar, and lost their re-election. If so, you are the only trustee to vote against, being required to have a car sticker in the state and embarrassed this proud village. Yea; you don’t speak for Tinley Park at all.
@chicago1990 so let me get this straight... when a state politician asks for an endorsement from a local towns mayor, and doesn't receive it, isn't that my point? I understand it's the states representative. I was simply stating what our mayor said. He didn't endorse the representative, so the representative turned on him. Do you understand?
We are not asking. We heard that no one will work with you mayor. You have taken steps to harm anyone opposing you. Why are you only mentioning the two woman commissioners? I’m praying more Individuals step up and tell the truth about you.
I’d like to FOIA the questions they receive. Did Carr produce that prior in any FOIA request made for his messages? This is the same guy who filed a baseless harassment claim after I went to HR on him.
