Hello.. Nice video. Im Having denon 1800h amplifier. My room size is 15*8*6..q accoustic vs polk vs elac vs monitir audio. Which one bookshelf you will suggest for movies?
Q acoustic 3050i is great speaker, full sound with excellent soundstage. Vocal, treble, bass all are perfect. My favorite speaker. Grand sound. I paired this to yamaha a2a.
I really like the detailed sound you're getting in source direct mode! 👏 I wonder if the Mission LX-2 MKII speakers which are bright, would make a good pair with this amp. I like good highs and lows. The Mission are more than able to express nice highs without causing fatigue. Bass drivers are small, which seem to be a good option with the Denon. How would you characterise the Denon sound in terms of being neutral or warm? I read you had too much bass because your speakers have big drivers, just the opposite of mine. Would you recommend this amp for someone on a tight budget? Thanks in advance for your help! Great work with your videos. Just subscribed!
Thanks. I appreciate your feedback. Denon seems like good match for your speakers because it has rich bass. I believe that it's great match for speakers that lack lower extension.
Just looked up the price of this setup, was shocked how affordable it is. Sounds awesome on here. I imagine it is a real detailed listen. Do you feel these speakers are best suited to acoustic, indie, vocal music?
Monitor Audio Silver series are pretty versatile speakers and they play well most of genres. I wouldn't say that they are better for some genre than the other.
So tiny difference between 2 amplifiers of the same category, and so much between 2 speakers... Same for cables or turntable. That's why I concentrate on the choice of the speakers and one look at the specs of my amp to choose it.
Best amp that I've tried so far. Plenty of power, nice sound... Unforunately, I had it only for a week or so since I borrowed it while I was waiting on some other amp to arrive.
@@roybrolsbeak not so much when I listen. Mobile phone is not the best option to capture sound unfortunately. Thinking about getting some decent mic...
@@rupertherbert594 Rotel has a little bit more energy in highs and it might not be best match with brighter speakers. Denon has pronounced bass on the other hand.
@burakkarademir : I use Cambridge's DacMagic and to my ears it sounds better than the CXA61's internal DAC. I put my TV through the DAC and it works, well, like magic. I have Cambridge's AXC 35 CD player that I use as a CD transport, also putting it through the external DAC. My research says that for an amp at the CXA61 level, there is little point in going too crazy with the external DAC because the CXA61 probably won't be able to resolve the finer details anyway. I am very happy with my modest (and affordable) system.
@@Creativity4John After the other videos of silvestrus, I have purchased topping E30İİ. Now my current set up is; Focal Chorus 806V, marantz model 50, topping e30ii and wiim pro. For me it is perfect. I love it. Even with my old amp Nad 316 bee it is quite nice in low volumes.
Wow! That sounds amazing even through my phone. I just bought the Tribute for $650 on sale at Crutchfield. Can’t wait until it gets here. Coming Wednesday
It seems that the Cambridge beefs up every song and it is not to my liking, the sound is not clear enough. Rotel and Marantz do that better, but the Cambridge sounds more musical, like the Marantz all beit a little more laid back. I tend to go for the Marantz in this comparision, but I think I would never buy one of these, nor the beefy and boxy sounding speakers. There are way better speakers and way better amps. Take an all in one from T+A or AVM for instance, musicality is better, clearness and resolution too, bass also superb sounding and mid range very good. Put a couple of second hand speakers to the set and you are good to go. They will make any speaker sound good. These all in ones will crush any separate amplifier/streamer/dac combination for up to 25K. The English sound is done for folks.
There is always something better around the corner. ;-) It depends on the room. When I've moved to new place I had to get rid of these since I had too much bass. I'm happy owner of MA Silver 100 for couple of years but I started to look to upgrade...
Q Acoustics are nice speakers but have own laid back signature. I would definitely try to audition them first to see if they fits your perception of good sound.
Really, thank you for your reply. I heard plenty floorstand speaker, but in my country it's not common to have this kind of brand (just a local one). That's what make me want to buy one, haha.
Yes, it didn't work out for me at the end. Bass was too pronounced for my taste. Currently driving speakers with IOTAVX stack which is much more neutral combination.
Can you suggest me an amp for Monitor Audio Gold 300 ? I want an amp that is all rounder. I listen to all variety of music. I meant what best suitable amp. Not too expensive obviously.
You can find Roksan K3 on hifishark for decent price. If you don't mind buying used gear. That's one potent amp that doesn't have issues to drive any speakers and I loved sound with my Silvers.
Thank you for showcasing your system, I'm interested in this setup, What is your impression of the Rotel A11/MM2 combo, I can't tell if I prefer this or the topping A11/E30 just from the video, but also other amps from your videos sounds good such as CXA61.
Unfortunately, Rotel was not good match for MA Silver. It is too detailed, and little bit on the bright side. It would be perfect match for darker sounding speakers. CXA61 is not that neutral but it is fun amp. I don't have it anymore but I wouldn't mind to have it again.
Woah, just the right pair I'm looking for between Marantz NR1200 and Q Acoustics 3050i. Is it perfect match for starter owner of floorstand speaker? Thank you for the video
+ Yes, I like laid back sound of Q Acoustics. From some time distance, I beleive that it would be better match to add something more sparkly than Marantz, let's say Rotel A11 Tribute would be good match I suppose.
