Looking at this on Glendower's site. Is this the high or low key?

Great question -- this is the low/original key! Fun fact: in the manuscript of this score, Coleridge-Taylor specifically inscribed it "for contralto voice"!

Thank you Bill! I agree, I think this cycle exemplifies the individuality and greatness of American art song, and Rorem outdid himself with this work.
