finished mine today pain in the ass to build i hope the 230 s has the power to lift this thing off the ground i want to say thank you for this video you inspired me wish me luck on its first flight lol
It is a 1/35th scale Kit from Trumpeter converted to flying RC Helicopter. Mechanics are from WLTOYS V950. You can see the full Video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4eRQj3n_j5o.htmlsi=473FTXztgndBffD1
Thank you! I found the Walkera Part Number which is HM-5-4Q3-Z-14. The fuselage was available in three different colors. You may also find it by searching for Walkera CB180Q.
This is a unique model conversion that I did on my own. You can see the build in this Video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YGt8P9zp-D0.htmlsi=5_4JhcIskeHnLmBx It is not a kit that you can buy
Hi, thank you! The fuselage is taken from an old Walkera Coaxial helicopter. The mechanics I put in is from WLToys XK K200. I will post the Build Video soon on my channel.
Nice work! Plastic kits are a bit heavy for this purpose, but the detail is high. You might try an scale fuselage from Heli Scale Quality, they are made from PET film and lightweight. You can combine them with parts of the Revell kit to add detail.
Thank you! Yes, the PET foil fuselages are definately lighter and you can achieve more flying time. My motivation and joy of doing these conversions is to see these models flying, although they were not designed for that purpose.
@@heliscalerk3614 Allright, i see. You might love to try OMP M2 mechanism then. It offers a lot more power than Blade`s 230S offers, wich is allready a lot better than 200SRX.
Hi, thank you ! I found this kit on eBay Kleinanzeigen, there are some of these kits offered from time to time. Unfortunately, they are no longer produced. I did not weigh the fuselage itself, but my model has a take-off weight of 521g.
Hi, R/C helicopter size classes e.g. 450 are typically defined by the distance between main rotor shaft and tail rotor shaft. Scale model kits in contrary use the ratio compared to the original size e.g. 1/18. In case of the Huey, a 1/18 scale kit matches quite good the dimensions of a 450 size R/C helicopter. If we would consider another helicopter type, for example a Sikorsky CH53, it would be a different story. A 1/18 scale model of the CH53 would be much bigger than a 450 size helicopter. The 6inch figure would be too large for the 450 size Huey.
Thank you! This is the rocker assembly which is part of the original Huey rotor head design. On my r/c models they have no function but I put them on for the scale look
Hi, no its a Blade 230S inside the 1/18th Scale fuselage. You can watch more of this build here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YGt8P9zp-D0.htmlsi=5o2lrkAVicsqNC8E
It has been a real challenge to fit the mechanics into that slim fuselage. I'm preparing the build video at the moment and will post it soon on my Channel. I used a Blade 120 Helicopter as basis and then modified it to fit.
@@heliscalerk3614 Can you weigh it? That would be great..🙏 Otherwise I can't decide whether a replica is worth it for me. (I do sling line operations with my helicopters)
Hi, No I think Blade 200SRX would be too small and it will not provide sufficient lift force to make it fly. I have used Blade 200SRX in a 1/32 scale Huey fuselage and it fits.
The 450size is made out of a HobbyBoss 1/18 scale kit, the 250size is made out of a Revell 1/24 scale kit. Both have been converted into remote controled flying helicopter
