Cool run, though you can scum the tutorial for very good equipment. You didn't look for the laser drill, that is always a great choice for an early game melee weapon. You fought enough that you could have probably upgraded your skills a bit on little 3 or 4. I seem to remember that GH1 had the minimap like GH2. That is always handy for avoiding dead ends.
