I have started a new playthrough of the first game of the GearHead series, GearHead Arena. In the near future I plan to remake this game using a modern engine (either PBGE as used by GearHead Caramel or Godot as used by a bunch of other folks). GearHead Arena was one of the games that kicked off the Roguelike Renaissance of the early 2000s. It's been described as the first game to successfully incorporate procedural narrative. It also has a somewhat unusual turn system.
