Hello dear doctor,,I was graduated from the medical university of Baku, Azerbaijan, can I work as a dentist in UK? Is my diploma acceptable or not? I want to register for Ore exam. Is it possible or not? Thanks a lot
Hi! Your videos are sooo informative and helpful! Keep the good work up!! I want to know about the jobs after getting temporary registration, what are the chances that I'll get the job? Also during this time period can I give my ORE?
@@fairytoothdoctor Hi, With temporary registration, you have to get the job first, you use the job offer to apply for temporary registration. As for ORE, If you want to move from temporary registration to full registration, then you'll have to take ORE exam. However, you can use temporary registration for up-to 7years. A lot of things can change in such a time frame.
Dear I'm planning to come to uk next month on a student visa as a Master in Information technology I'm thinking studying level 3 dental nurse 1 year diploma in online plus 20 hour in clinic work will it affect my student visa studying 2 online course along with degree?
@@mohsinrathore-d7o No it won't. It's acceptable. It's attending two universities that can't be possible. Being a trainee dental nurse is like getting a student job. Go for it!
@@DrEmmanuelAmukun sir what i understand after landing uk next month on student visa for master degree. should I get enroll in any approved dental nurse diploma 3 course with college and start working part time 20 hour in dental clinic right? Please acknowledge if i am right ✅
@@vishnupriyack6 There's a long list of books which I can't exhaust here. However, you can start with the pink book, blue book, and Scottish guidelines. The Scottish guidelines are available for download free of charge. Just google and download.
@@asitvats6460 Provisional registration is still undergoing political stages and not yet operational, probably until some time next year. We will know the full requirements when it's implemented.
@@vijivineesha6422 Yes. Actually the GDC requires IELTS academic version specifically. Also there's no difference between UKVI IELTS and non-UKVI in terms of using the certificate.
Hi dr , in that msc one year only they will give ORE training is it ? And once i get license i can work immediately right? Bcz am afraid, if i dont pass my ORE exam , !! Bcz course is expensive... my poor parents have to pay them .. thats y ,! Thank you!
@@priyavikram1682 unfortunately, you still have to pass ORE before getting licensed to practice in the UK. However, if you are looking for a way to start practicing before passing ORE, here is your best option: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5wV51a1EsxI.html
Hi dr , am priya from india , nxt sept 2025 intake am gonna pursue msc in AGDP , my question is will every students pass ore exam and get job in NHS ? After the msc degree ? And GDC registration how about that , if we register in that DH and DT ..how is it possible for all the students to get that job or position... can u put a separate detailed video of msc in AGDP and after that course ..
What do you mean "complete"? Did you start your studies somewhere else, and now you want to complete from UK? or you mean something else. Please clarify. Thank you🙏
Being an international student enrolled in full time masters course and have valid study visa , can i work as trainee dental nurse and join dental nursing diploma? Need solid confirmation regarding this plz
Yes you can. The only challenge will be to find a placement for the purpose of your practice. Most require full-time Trainees. But the simple answer is Yes!
Great👍 I'm happy to hear that. It means those who are doubting can now confirm its genuine. I'm curious to hear how you got to know about it. Do you mind sharing?
@@DrEmmanuelAmukun need a genuine sponsor for this one , my friend who works for the same company (in which i am working now) referred me this route and in my company giving the application for ore before cmng isnt the compulsion(cz by documents and experience till visa success they are sure you are a dentist which will eventually get the gdc number with succesful application in future)...however you have to pay your own fees for the dental nursing one year diploma this is max 2300 pounds but in installments i am paying 118 pounds / month for 18 mnths package .
Hello! I will be coming on a dependent visa So I wont be needing the skilled worker visa sponsorship Will I be eligible to apply for this? Kindly reply Thank you.
That means will they (the website which you have shown) pay me for the job and take me into the diploma training course,if so will the course be still funded by them?
Hello, For this pathway, she needs to have applied and be accepted by the GDC with a candidate number ready to sit exams. Otherwise, she won't be accepted.
Thank you for the information, Dr. If i already have a settlement visa and only wish to work as a trainee dental nurse until i complete Part 2 ore , do i still need to work with the same employer for 5 years?
Hi, If you are settled, then this opportunity doesn't apply to you. You can apply for the same role under a different category. Go to their main careers page and apply.

Hi Doctor I am from India. I have experience in dental nursing, but I don't have educational qualifications. I need to be a qualified dental nurse, so is it possible to get a sponsorship visa to train a dental nurse? Could you please give me Proper guidance
Hi, If you don't have qualifications in dentistry, it will be extremely difficult unless you have already lived innthe UK for at least 3 years, it will be very difficult, and I don't know how to guide you. Sorry my friend.
@@satyaganni5368 Hi, you can do that by taking routes such as Temporary registration, BDS bridging course, or apprenticeship. Watch the videos I have on that for details.
Hello Dr, Thank you very much for the useful information. I earned my BDS degree from Dubai in 2011 and completed my MSc in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the University of Manchester in 2018. From your video, I understand that to apply for the shortest route to becoming a dental therapist, I need to complete a year of dental nursing to obtain GDC registration, followed by an advanced apprenticeship in dental nursing, and then proceed to dental therapy. Is that correct? And how long will this route take?
@@nzmz13 Hi, Thank you for appreciating. Well, the duration of apprenticeship is between 6 months and several years, but you'll be earning as you study. The duration depends on individual factors as some modules can be waved off.
@@9qwero This information is available online, some of the websites you can check out is gov.uk then search apprenticeships. The other is NHS and search for apprenticeships, you'll find.
informative video thank you for your hard work but i have ONE question can i apply to dental nursing because it dose not need GDC registration and from that i can upgrade to dental therapy right?
I am BDS from Pakistan. I only want to practice orthodontics is england. A distance Diploma in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics (PG Dip.) From London Dental Institute can help me in that ? If not, please suggest alternative.
@@drimranfarooque To practice Orthodontics in UK, you need either a registered specialty training in Orthodontics by going through CT1 - CT 3, then ST1 - ST3. Alternatively, you can be a general dentist with a registered special interest in Orthodontics. And you must be GDC registered.
I am interested in the Level 4 Orthodontic Therapy Apprenticeship program. I am an Irish Registered Dental Nurse with the Dental Council, Ireland. I am also Ghanaian Dental Nurse. I wsnt to find out, would my IDC Dental Nurse Registration be considered in place of the GDC registration for this level 4 apprenticeship program.? I am also a 1st Degree Holder in Bachelor Of Arts Political Science and Psychology from the University of Ghana, way back in 2011 and now obtained in 2019 a Diploma in Registered Dental Surgery Assistant (Dental Nursing Program). What are my chances at level 4 apprenticeship in the UK,? Can i write an appeal to GDC to consider my Irish Dental Council Registration since Ireland and UK used to do things the same prior to BREXIT.?? Also, can you share any web base resource where i can get access to Orthodontist that employs under this apprenticeship program for the Level 4 Orthodontic apprenticeship program.?? I would really live to get in touch with you, please share a medium. I humbly await your response soon. Best regards.
@@joecruisehumble4489 Hello 👋 For concerns about GDC registration, please do email them. They usually respond within 5 working days. Alternatively, email the Dental Nurses Counsel for advice. However, apprenticeships, as I mentioned in my videos, are usually for people who have the right to work in the UK, that's for all apprenticeships, or those who have lived in the UK for at least 3 years for government funded apprenticeships.
Hi, Joining the UK trainee dental nurse program requires you to have a right to work in the UK. If you have that, then yes, you can join. About visas, I can't advise on that as it's an immigration issue.
Hii..ur videos are genuine and encouraging,I completed by BDS with internship in dec 2023 from Indian University,am I eligible to do dental therapist MSc course,I have listen that some universities are not letting Indians to go straight for dental therapy msc course,is this true can please give me any guidance regarding this
Hey Buddy, First of all, thank you for your kind words. Secondly, don't listen to people. If I were you, I would first apply and let the university say so. If not contact the university admissions team and ask them directly. In UK institutions are not secretive. They'll tell you if that's the case. Otherwise don't depend on hearsay.
@@jawariarafiq147 you are welcome. I suppose that the cost will be lower, but we can't be sure. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Now that elections are over, parliament will start work soon, and we should be able to know the next step.
@@jawariarafiq147 If it's within a practice, you'll be paid, but if it's in form of a course, then I can't be sure. Most likely there will be no payment.
@@PetiEAusN I'm really glad to hear this. You have warmed my heart. Thank you for being kind enough to share your outcomes. Be blessed🙏 You can also share the video with your friends, just in case they may need 🤩🤩
This program is for Overseas dentists who already have a BDS degree from their home country. So, it's not too late for you if you are interested. Just contact them and apply.
Much as I would love to suggest something for you, it alll boils down to what you want for yourself. Just pick any that interests you, and get started.
Boss, I'm afraid you won't get an answer to a question like this because UK is not like other countries were salaries for dentists is set. Here it depends on many factors. Even your own salary will not be the same each month. It depends on many factors which whether you are working for nhs, private, or mixed, what hourly rate you signed up for, how many hours you worked that month, how many overtime, how many UDAs, what UDA rate, how many locums, etc. But if you must know, the minimum is £36,000, and maximum you can expect is £200,000 a year.
Hey Gourab, Thank you for your question. However, I'm not part of the College administration. You should head over to the college website, get a contact and ask them directly. They usually have a WhatsApp number over there.
As a dentist in UK, you can earn anything between £40,000 - £200,000 Depending on so many factors. There are no two dentists who earn exactly the same amount. But as new dentist, I wouldn't raise my hopes that high.
I can actually imagine because I have seen some at the hospital almost bleeding to death. Please share the video with all those who might benefit. Thank you🙏
Thank you so much for always watching and engaging. That's the biggest motivation, knowing that someone will actually find the information useful, and takes the time to let you know. I really appreciate you very much 🙏🙏🙏
