The NFL is now employing copious amounts of data to decipher and solve many of its tasks. Every single NFL game, play, team, coach, player, and stadium is an immense source of data that requires data analytics to develop strategies and to back decisions for a myriad of decisions. The NFL has embraced data analytics and it has become a vital part of the league’s infrastructure.
@kylerush7948 I think it is clear that the Patriots need to go OT or WR in the first and second rounds. That being said, I am much more comfortable with Vederian Lowe at LT than any of our WRs at the x WR position. Boutte and Borne are better Zs and so is Polk, Baker, Osborn, and Thornton. So, I can see them going WR in the first and assess the tackle boards on Day 2
@patsstats maybe take that kid from Arizona and then the tackle from Oregon, I'm down for that. Third pick needs to be a nose tackle(not a 6ft 3 310 defensive tackle, I mean a 6 ft 2 370 lb plung)
@kylerush7948 Tet McMillan is the WR Arizona... the tackle from Oregon is Connerly, who is solid in pass pro but is run back definitely needs work. As for a NT I like Thor Griffith out of Louisville, but her would a 4th or 5th eounder
@patsstats I'm okay with that, with connerly I'm fine with his run blocking needing help, I want my left tackle to be the best pass protector of the lot, maybe third round then draft a mountain for right tackle and put onwenu in at guard, I like Wallace but idk
@@patsstats personally I think this draft needs to focus heavily on the trenches with the exception of a top wideout and maybe a mid round corner, everything else needs to be trenches trenches trenches, I do however believe we found Andrew's replacement in Ben brown, he has been playing very well
He is a solid prospect who has shown growth over the past two seasons. He could contend for a starting job right away, but he also has plenty of development left that hints at additional upside.
I like his tape more than Campbell but they are both very good. Wondering if it would be better to take a chance on a tackle in the 2nd with the way Lowe is playing. Tet looks very good, but I do think we should build from the inside out
I personally like Campbell a little more because of his footwork, run blocking, second level, and open field blocking. Banks is better in pass pro and would be an amazing addition. I really agree with the possibility of going with Tet in the first round if Lowe holds up. Vederian has been almost lights out against the best EDGE rushers in the league and has some critical blocks in the run game. Plus, he is a solid teammate.
I am really big on Tre Harris... Despite watching a lot of tape on him, I haven't performed a comprehensive analysis on him yet because I am stuck on him either being a first or second rounder. I would love to get him on Day 2, but I'm not sure he will be there.
Isaiah Bond & Elic Ayomanor next. If we didn't already have that many depth pieces on the team, I feel like those two along with Williams would be an insane trio
Hope we still draft the best OT . If we ended up in 3 to 5. Bcs we just won against the jets and if we won against the titans too.. we might lose the top 3 pick
Verdarian lowe they better not think he will be the guy next year, the best ability is availability, hell if its possible we need more than 1 tackles both sides
@@tonystarks7722 I’m not particular ecstatic about Onwenu’s play after getting paid. Let’s say Pats draft a LT in round #1. Maybe they ought to think about moving Wallace back to RT & trading Onwenu.
@Brady-m4b it wasn't really a real attempt at a mock draft... just talking Patriots roster and highlighting college players for people to keep an eye on... I said it in my introduction.
I got curious and tried one for myself, I shit you not, these are the trades that the teams offered me: Saints Get: 1st Overall Patriots Get: 2025 1st, 2nd, 4th (Picks 6, 37, 109), and a 2026 5th. After that, it ended up being: Dolphins Get: 2025 1st (Pick 6) Patriots Get: 2025 1st, 2nd, 3rd (Picks 10, 43, 99), and a 2026 5th & 7th As a result, this is what the draft order ended up being: 10) Will Campbell, OT, LSU: A+ 35) Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State: A+ 37) Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama: B+ 43) Harold Perkins, LB, LSU: B+ 66) DeMonte Capeheart, DT, Clemson: C+ (took him eight spots too early) 84) Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame: A 99) Nic Anderson, WR, Oklahoma: A+ 102) Bradyn Swinson, EDGE, LSU: A+ 109) Jaeden Roberts, IOL, Alabama: B 141) Jason Marshall Jr., CB, Florida: B+ 216) Micah Pettus, OT, Ole Miss: B+ 219) Samuel Brown, WR, Miami (FL): B 230) Jonah Coleman, RB, Washington: A+
Personally I want to see McMillan after trading down if we can't land Higgins in FA. I like the idea of a vet OT and LG and getting back into the 1st for Simmons assuming thee medical checks out.
Yeah I agree on the trading back part even if we do get Higgins because then we can still get Will Cambell or Kelvin Banks and just add another 2nd rounder so we will then have 2 2nd and 2 3rd rounders having gotten what we needed most LT. Also I just hope we can get any legit WR in FA wether it be Higgins, Cooper, Deebo, Deandre Hopkins any legit receiver that’s a FA
what do you think of drafting Travis hunter? Have him play wr and cb. ( not every down) Or trading the 1 pck for more draft capital. This team needs it!
He's definitely the most exciting college football player, but I don't see him as the Top CB, nor the Top WR in the draft. So, the Patriots could use him... but I am not sure he is the best option for the Patriots, who need the best WR, or LT.
Would definitely like Webb as an inside guy for sure. Definite upgrade over our guards not named Michael Onwenu. I figured you don't take requests for certain players, but I've worked on a few mocks with some unknown players. I just wanted to get an idea on what you'd think of the following: 1) Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College 2) Jack Nelson, OT, Wisconsin 3) Riley Mahlman, same as 2 4) Samuel Brown, WR, Miami (FL) 5) Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
We definitely need depth at center!! I wonder who will be available off-season. Good question if the Pats will finally look at building the line. How do you rank this OL class compared to previous years?
Definitely agree that Felton is a riser. This year Felton has in my opinion over taken his teammate Kaden Prather. I think Felton is more explosive and he’s definitely a top 10 WR. Right now I have a 3rd round grade on him. The only thing that gives me some pause is he’s listed at 182 pounds. He’s not Tyquan Thornton skinny but does need to add some more weight and play strength. That shouldn’t be an issue.
@@patsstats In my opinion, the Chargers are wasting Joe Walt's talent at RT.. He is better than Rashwan Slater, so I wish Joe Walt delayed his entry into the NFL in order for a team to choose him that would appreciate him and play him in his preferred position.
This draft seen like its deep in tackle and guards , there should be no excuses for us to atleast grab a LT and RT and center , I don't want to hear no excuses for next year , but seem like we gonna have to top 3 pick this year
Check out sleeper from Rutgers Hollin Pierce former walk on 6-8 350 LT and Patriots have drafted Rutgers players before. Kid a straight monster 40 dollar cab ride to get around I feel around combine he going fly up boards.
6'4 is still good height. It's more about arm length which is no doubt long enough to play on the outside. Trent Williams is 6'5 which we both can agree is not that much of a difference. There are many OT who are 6'4 but their arm length is why they can play that position.
@@SimmerDownBoy I love Banks but think the NFL going switch him over LG who cares he a great player. I have broken down 330 players on my channel since May.
@dannysavagedraftguru I like Banks too. He has the talent to play both OT and OG. But thinking a 6'4 OL can't play OT is ridiculous. You obviously haven't broken down any good film. I don't recall the steelers putting Troy Fautanu at OG, even though he could. OT is much harder to play so when you have someone like Banks who can be an elite OT, you keep him there. Maybe look up all the OT who are 6'4 and break down their film and see If their tall enough to succeed on the outside And I wasnt attacking you in the first place so idky you get defensive for Lmao
@dannysavagedraftguru the players they slide inside are players with shorter arms. That's under 34 in. Arm length. Peter Skoronski played everywhere along the OL in college. They moved him to OG in the NFL because his arms are 32 1/4 in. Only time height matters is if he's maybe 6'3. Other than that it's about arm length. Height does nothing for you on the outside. That's why OL who are 6'6 with shorter arms will still play OG because it's about arm length. I'm just letting you know since we talking football. Troy Fautanu and DJ Glaze are rookies and good examples or this. Even Mike Onwenu who's played both OG amd OT in the NFL.
