Starting problems when the engine won't turn over past the compression stroke. I can tell you categorically that it is valve clearance on the exhaust side. This has a direct impact on the automatic decompression. This is more often than not on a 2020 gts 300. Piaggio sent out a workshop bulletin regarding the problem. Take time to set the valve clearance exactly and the auto decompression system with follow.
