My cousin who is single father of a 14yr old kid and he needs a liver transplant. He can’t even get into see a liver specialist because their waiting list is so long but hospital doctors say they can not put him on the transplant list. They wouldn’t do so anyway because he has to wait 6 months. He has strong familial support and is willing to do what he needs to do to remain alcohol free. He is already suffering from acites. He doesn’t have 6 months. I’m so angry about this.
I just don't understand it. I take 50 to 60 500mg paracetamol every month or so for the past two years. By rights I should be gone by now. Apart from being REALLY nauseous for 24 hours. Zero immediate effects. It's frustrating. Any thoughts Dr. Joe?
I can’t believe they say no symptoms. I am in pain constantly. Just was diagnosed with diverticulosis but have extreme pain using the washroom. Cramping, spasms and bloating.
I’m about to try baking my first Irish soda bread & I’ve chosen this recipe - I like that it’s flat, even & consistent compared to so many other videos where the bread ends up in a round mound. She’s so sweet❣️
I grew up in Donegal....soda bread had flour, soda, salt and buttermilk. We never used olive oil...it was only ever found in tiny bottles in the chemists......we used it to get a nice tan!
I get my blood work done every 6 months, and my liver triglycerides, cholesterol are perfect. And I eat bacon, steak, ribs, pork ribs. I just don't eat pasta and bread and drink soda pops. That's what causes the problems.
You're right about insulin resistance causing chronic diseases. That's caused from carbs. Especially starchy carbs and sugar. Meats Do not cause insulin resistance.
There is research that shows the opposite. Meats do not cause fatty liver disease. They don't Spike your blood sugar. Now if you eat fruits, that Will spike your blood sugar
If you want to promote healthy eating the place to start is lobbying tenants rights. To cook spaghetti with meat sauce from scratch requires a stove, a stock pot, fry pan, cutting board, chef knife , kitchen tools, and a colander. More and more apartments these days either don't have adequate cooking facilities or don't have the room to store cookware or the counter space. Can't get the pot in the tiny sink to clean it either. Renters can't afford to replace all that stuff every few months when they are forced to move. Month to month leases are becoming standard.
Great info i have had fatty liver since 2020 recently got blood work done and my liver enzymes are back to normal range but had ultrasound imaging still showed i have a fatty liver
My dad has non-alcoholic and non-chhirotic stage 1 fatty liver. Does he need to take resmetirom? Is resmetirom for non-alcoholic and non-chhirotic fatty liver or for non-alcoholic and non-chhirotic steatohepatitis?

Of course she has Irish music playing when she makes Soda Bread! And when she makes English Muffins she plays some Elgar. If she makes Croissants it's important to play Ravel or Debussy and best of all.... if you make Hamburgers, they are improved with a Symphony or two by Beethoven! I'm not sure what would be suitable for Chow Mein!
Loved watching this I will be making this ❤️ looked at all different recipes made a few years ago they were aweful Thanks Margaret I’ll carry on your tradition I went to Ireland twice and loved the brown bred 😍
Hello Dr.Galati, How much weight can a female lose on Optifast with BMI 45, pcos and hypothyroid. Age 41. Can ozempic or saxenda be taken at the same time? Want to get pregnant First time, difficulty getting pregnant tried many years
Aaaaah.... go stuff it. I just ate a can of Chef Boyardee Spaghetti with meatballs. Mmmm good. Like that scene in "Ratatouille", the taste brought me back to memories of my childhood in the late 60s and 70s. Not the best spaghetti in the world - canned pasta is always going to be soggy and mushy, but that spaghetti sauce has this truly unique signature flavor that hasn't changed in the over 55+ years since I first had it. No other spaghetti sauce tastes like it, other than Spaghetti'Os, which was made specifically to copy and compete with Chef Boyardee canned pasta. Spaghetti'Os also brings back memories of childhood. And no, I don't eat this stuff regularly. I like to make my own pasta.
P.S. Chef Boyardee canned pasta was part of US military C-rations during WWII. The Milton, PA plant worked 24/7 to crank out food for the armed forces of the world. The U.S., alone of all the combatant nations in WWII was the only one to increase agricultural and food production during the war. C-rations sent to the Soviet Union as part of US Lend Lease was highly regarded by Soviet Army soldiers, and almost certainly contributed to the change in morale and fighting capability of the Red Army. US C-rations fed the Soviet soldiers better than the German army and better than the Soviet civilians at home (who were at starvation levels of nutrition), which absolutely discouraged further desertions to the German side or back home, previously a serious problem before Lend Lease US C-rations arrived. So, yeah, canned highly processed food? C-rations! Helped win WWII for the Allied forces.
My understanding is that they use wholeMeal flour, not whole wheat. Those are two different flours. I’m sure it’ll still be delicious either way, but an Irishman would taste/feel the difference. But whatever, I would eat the heck out of that! 🎉
I can’t take statins and no matter what I do my cholesterol is very high. Even an injectable cholesterol reducer (described as a “silver bullet”) didn’t reduce it! I’ve done a no added fat diet twice and both times it RAISED my cholesterol. What the heck!
My best friend died 8 weeks ago from pickling his liver. He was only 57. He only found out in September 2023 his liver was not working right. It can sneek up on you people and kill you fast but it is not a pleasant death.
