You have helped me with the circumference part. I was using the spray glue because i thought the liquid glue would go through the fabric. Now i feel confident to make my next box. Thank you.
Just a quick tip for anyone trying this for the first time and by themselves. Find 2 rubber bands to fit the bowl of your choosing, going around from bottom to top, creating side by side parallel bands across the opening of your bowl. After you have your yarn wet with your "glue" mixture, run the yarn through the bands in order to be your extra "fingers" remove any excess mixture from the yarn to eliminate any annoying drips. Hope this helps someone's first experience go more smoothly, so a future solo creation will be without any reason for "dreed"! Happy wrapping! God bless.
You make it look so easy and I'm sure it is difficult to make this upside down for the camera. I wonder if it would be better to cut the slit in the box top before you cover it with fabric? At any rate, very nice job and so pleasant, as well. Thank you.
I made this method you demonstrated and luckily had lace and Rose buds in the bridesmaid colours it was so easy and it turned out lovely my granddaughter is delighted . Thanks very much !
I have spray painted my box and I want to put lace on it but the lid doesn't come off of the box and it has a slot in the top for cards, I'm not sure how to do this. I have three boxes that go on top of each other sort of like a cake and this is the top box. Do you have any ideas on how to do this?
Excellent method for stitching elastic to most anything instead of making a ribbon or other fabric case. (Grandmother here could not remember how to do it.) Thank you so much!
