Ok ok ok ok ok what Little mermaid bootleg did I just watch. Just gotta say everyone here was so freaking talented, especially Merial? Is that her name? She was incredible.
You guys should do a sequel where Briar Rose and the prince have children and then an ogre tries to eat them. There is a version of Sleeping Beauty where that happens after she's woken up.
Hi, I just want to say that I've seen parts of this play and I think this is a good play. Is there a way that I can look at the script of this play and that of "Snow White?" Did you find the scripts for those plays on a website? How did y'all come up with the play? Who originally wrote it? Can I read those scripts?
Spider7o Up fun fact: when the composer was given the lyrics to “Lament,” the only advice we gave her for how the song should work was “think of when David Bowie has that breakdown at the end of Labyrinth.”
The show was created by Neverland Theatricals (then called "Stage Right Theatricals") in 2012 as part of the professional Stage Right season. It can be licensed by contacting us! The composer, David Mahokey, is in the pit orchestra; the other two writers appear in the show as Dogsbody and Mirror-Man.
The actual story wasn't even made by Disney so it could have some parts from other versions. Like i watched a movie where Briar Rose had a friend. I don't think he worked in the stables though. Also there's obviously lots of versions where Briar Rose is asleep for a long time and the Prince hears the story about it and goes to find her. But i'm pretty sure they wrote this, not really looking at other versions XD
Niko, we love dragons as much as anyone else does, but this version has nothing to do with Disney's famous retellings. It was loosely inspired by the original fairy tale, as well as by the comedy stylings of Monty Python.
