I didn't care for Tom Cruise as Lestat, but I really like Sam as Lestat. We've seen how Louis perceives Lestat, so I'm excited for S3 to show how Lestat sees himself. Also, I personally love The Queen of the Damned movie, even though I am aware that it is not a faithful or good adaptation of the books. The soundtrack for that movie is one of the best soundtracks of all time, in my opinion. Obviously, S3 is going in a different genre, music-wise, but I'm still excited to hear the music they make for Lestat.
The moment Louis meets Lestat and Lestat throws his ring on the table he had me forever and then in the second season when he walks across the upper plank before he goes to be on stage with the jury HOT!!!
I’ve read all the books many times. The movie with Tom Cruise was horrible but the best they could do with the time I guess same with Queen of the Damned it was horrible but the best they could do with the time I guess. The series is amazing and I hope Sam Reid plays Lestat forever he is Lestat and I love what I’ve done and I can’t wait till they do more I hope they make it all the way to Memnoch and beyond! ❤❤❤❤
it was too much like the reboot star trek series with the outfits, but I think their human was showing a bit over the Vulcan, it's like they put too much bones into them, over Spock's, bones used to say stuff in TOS all the time at Spock, but no other crew member for the most part did that, some reason bones , always had a way of not liking anything Spock said if I recall the original series correctly, and not the movies. so far its been mixed like cartoon cross over episode and musical episode been the worst of it in season 2, otherwise; I liked the new series.
My favorite character will always be Simba. And I think Mufasa The Lion King looks incredible! The movie looks really good. Much better than the 2019 movie.

Someone here mentioned King Tut, which put me in mind of three musical sketches that are worth having a look at: (S17E09) Steve Martin cold opening turns into a musical number about putting your all into a task. (S41E16) Peter Dinklage as singer Jonathan Comet in a mafia dive bar. (S04E01) Garrett Morris sings Three Little Tones with the female cast as backup in the cold opening. Three Little Tones was a real Big Band song from the 1930s that was based on the NBC Chimes. Dan Aykroyd plays an old-time studio announcer introducing the song. Everyone is dressed in period costumes and the song is performed completely unironically (although Laraine Newman rolls her eyes at one line.)
If Beetlejuice drops a f bomb. Then that is scary! He is the ghost with the most. What is he scared of...a ex wife. " I watched the 1st Beetlejuice 167 times and it keeps getting funnier every single time i see it and the fact you are talking to a undead guy. So what do you think. Am i qualified.
Ha ha ha, we think you're very much qualified! It's funny, we think we know movies pretty well and then we meet super-fans like yourself. Last night we hosted a movie party for the 2007 comedy Hot Fuzz, and there were people in the audience who had seen it so many times they could literally quote the whole movie from memory! Our hats are off to you, sir!!!
@@NerdSafari thank you. I saw it when I was 8. Now 43 and the fact I'm born close to Halloween. This is a Halloween treat. It may be subpar. I don't care. Some of my friends, are with Beetlejuice eating a Zagnut. ❤
It really was an incredible experience! Getting up and going back to work in the real world today was a little painful - I wanted to stay being an X-Man for another week or two! 😝
Three favorite sketches? Too many to count, but one would be "Word Association" with Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor (S01E07). It was brilliant in its simplicity. Plus it would never have gotten on the air today. (Honorable mention to a skit later in the same episode with Dan Aykroyd as a bigoted father at the dinner table with his family talking about the blacks in the neighborhood taking over but not noticing that members of his family one by one excuse themselves but return to the table replaced by black actors). Second would be "Who's More Grizzled?" (S23E15). Third would probably be "Meet Your Second Wife" with Tina Fey and Amy Pohler (S41E09) or Reagan as a Mastermind (S12E06)
Oh wow, what great picks for sketches! It had been years since we'd seen a couple of these so we had to re-watch them, but you're absolutely right about every one of these being classic, hilarious SNL sketches! Thanks for sending us back down memory lane!!!
My sister didn't mention that she liked the TV series until recently to me because she thought I was so much of a superfan of the books and movies. When I said I actually love the TV series, she was surprised, so I had to tell her that at the time the movies were made, only like a fifth of the total books were written 😂
Big SNL fan here: The trailer suggests that the events are in the ninety minutes leading to airtime before the first episode, but they have alluded to events in later episodes. The women construction workers harassing Dan Aykroyd was from Lily Tomlin's episode Season 01, Episode 06. The blood shooting scene near the end was from a sketch where Dan Aykroyd played Julia Child in Season 4.
Ah, that's interesting, thanks for sharing this! From some of the recent updates we were thinking that this would solely focus on the very first broadcast, but clearly they will at least allude to later sketches! Can't wait to see this!
Did u notice the tattoo on the guy with the scene slide. It says "Armand was telling the truth". I love this Lestat. I think he is perfect. The teaser is just the first lines of the book..
I like the Queen of the Damned and loved the soundtrack. The only problem I had was in the first hour to hour and a half it was great. Then I felt that they rushed the last 30 minutes or so and didn't landed the ending as good as they could have.
Oh wow, I thought I was literally the only person in the world who liked that movie! You're right that the soundtrack was a big part of it, though, and that the ending was pretty lame!!! Let's hope we see better from season 3 of this show!

Great reaction to the (2nd) trailer. This, and your reactions to the first trailer, and the teaser caused me to follow you (well... the fact, that you actually have a video about the first movie about four years ago helped in that regard). As for the movie itself: The teasers, and trailers which have been released so far make me really happy. They consist of all the humor, and shenanigans, one would expect from a Beetlejuice-movie. I have high hopes for this, and I think, this will be be the first movie, I`ll actually watch at the cinema since "Avengers - Endgame". On a side-note: I watched the first movie in a small local cinema with my sister, whio actually talked the staff into giving away Beetlejuice-carboard-masks, which were used for promotional purposes in that cinema`s windows. However, there is one thing I actually don`t like about this new movie: The "joke"/remark about the pilates-instructor at the beginning feels out of place. I don`t like that at all, and as far, as I can tell, most other people, who reacted to this trailer a) didn`t react to this at all, or b) didn`t liked it as well. I can`t put my fingure on it, but it seems like something, enforced by the studios, or some other party... Nevertheless, I can`t wait to see "Beetlejuce Beetlejuice". (Disclaimer: I`m sorry for any mistakes in the text above. Since I`m german, english isn`t my first language. 😉 )
Thank you for the kind words! (And, wow, for doing your homework on our channel and watching our older video!!!) And your English is perfect - better than half the people we know who were born there! ;) Really interesting point about the Pilates instructor joke being a dud in the trailer! I had completely forgotten that moment so had to go back and rewatch it, but I can see exactly what you mean (and I'm a little surprised that we didn't raise an eyebrow when we first saw it!) I think it will be critical for this movie to still portray the Ghost With the Most in a way that feels authentic to the character from the first movie, while at the same time updating the comedy and keeping it edgy but relevant to today's audience. Not too long until we get to find out, thankfully!!!
In regards to Louis’s relationships, I do not think Louis was ever happy with Armand. I mean he called the guy a boring beige pillow…which is probably the worst comment one can ever say to a mate. Lestat is a lot of things: spoiled, toxic, impulsive but he’s also loving, supportive, & super exciting. I’d choose Lestat 6 days a week & twice on Sunday.
Ha ha ha, we had completely forgotten about the boring beige pillow remark, but you're so right! I mean, a boring beige pillow might be fine for when you're eating pizza on the couch, but there's only so long you can live that way before you becoming boring and beige yourself!!!
