Wonder if it's the same system...(?) I bought one from Top speed in TX, was $440.... Seemed like a good deal for a fully polished system. It sounds good, but oddly, its not really any louder than stock. And the tips are spaced a lil too far apart- looks like yours is the same way...
Man, What a scene to showcase these speakers. One of my dreams is to setup top of the line home theater and my friends recommend these speakers but my issue is that my pc setup is right near my tv so the subwoofer and right speaker would be in the way of my chair. Im debating on moving my pc into my bedroom just so i can have a good home setup.
Are these the original series ? I sure miss mine they were some awesome speakers for their price range nothing came close had them for years so much bass with 6 8inch subs in your front lcr channels
yeah man with that sound stage get a short throw projector.. your system sounds pretty good .. i can hear good detail e ven on the sub par audio recording
Up to you man. If its a good deal go for it. Only thing I would say caution wise is that when I bought my stealth me and my mechanic friend seapped the engine and put that exhaust I have on it all before I had driven it( was sitting at his house with a bad engine for years). So when it was finally running it already had an aftermarket exhaust. And the problem I had was that the car always backfired like crazy and when it did it lost so much power. It was only at full throttle that it did that but it was always an issue with the car. Couldnt floor it without it backfiring and when it did it lost so much power. We never figured out what the problem was. Tried so many things(spark plugs, spark plug cables, new throttle body/sensor) but it still always backfired. Now thinking back I think it may have been the exhaust and maybe an original sensor that my mechanic may have gotten rid of. Its the only thing we didn't try. So I'd say go for it but make sure you get the car tuned by a professional company if you have any issues. Or even no issues get it tuned. Wouldn't hurt
No unfortunately its been 9 years. The engine fried on a long trip across the state. From what I remember they discontinued the exhaust I bought cause I could never find it online again.
Yes I still love it, although if I were to buy a new system I would go a little smaller. These are very large speakers for my now 650 sq ft apartment. I can barely turn them up to my preferred volume without worrying about disturbing the neighbors :)
I love my BIC speakers they are a huge upgrade from the bose i had that i thought where nice.. after owning a nice pair of speakers i feel bose is garbage
Please tell me how happy you are with the Bic PL200 I'm trying to decide right now between it and the Klipsch R-112SW. Since there's Nowhere to go and hear the PL200 in person I can only refer to video and other peoples personal thoughts.
How are the highs and mids with the PL-89 Towers? Im wondering if its worth it to spend the extra $$ and get ELAC F5's? I want some good voice clarity without totally breaking the bank!
Greg Bohlig The highs sound great to me, although this is my first real home theatre so I don't have much to compare to. If you have heard any klipsh speakers people say they sound similar (both being horn tweeters) with these actually being not as harsh. Hope that helps!
Nice! I have PSB speakers in my setup right now but I do have dual PL-200 sub's and I absolutely LOVE them! Are you really happy with the PL-89, 28 & 66's? They look outstanding & if the PL-200's are any indication, I bet they sound awesome. :~)
Alwaererer Haerererer Yea I agree. What I did was run my wires along the baseboard and stapled them every two feet so it was nice and neat, and the couches hides them perfectly
G man nice! I've contacted their website based on your video. I have a smaller room size so I may have to go a little smaller but very dope setup. Whenever you have a chance can you make new one.
Alwaererer Haerererer Thank you! Yes if you have a smaller room I would look into some smaller speakers as these are definitely on the larger side. And sure I've been wanting to make a new video to show off new TV. I'll show how I did the wiring also so you can see it.
G man cool thanks. im going with Definitive Tech. 2 towers,1 center speaker, Yamaha receiver and ofcourse a power conditioner. I get the center speaker and receiver next week. I cant wait!!!!!! I will make a video once I get mine all hooker up also. it will be my very first youtube video.
I love them, they sound aweome and yes the do help create a wider Soundstage. I wouldn't hesitate to get another pair for the sides if I had that type of room. The only though is how large they are. They require some good quality speaker stands if going that route.
+G man Great. I have 3 FH6-LCR so I wanted to get surrounds that sounded like my fronts, but a little more diffused. Thanks for replying and cool home theater setup!
aww ye another stealth rt/tt bro with a turboback exhaust. When I first got mine I almost wanted to do the 3000gt conversion, until I realized that other than the banana spoiler (which is an easy fix, just take it off and plug the holes), I honestly preferred the stealth's body panels and tail lights more.
