Since you own this watch, this is my first ever automatic watch, still have the option to return it, but, is it normal that when I don't use this watch, the watch stops ticking after a few hours?
I think that I could only consider the Vario Versa seriously after getting a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duoface Chronograph, which is my dream ⌚. It would, at present, still be a disappointment rather than a charming alternative without the real thing.
What appeals to me about digital watches vs analog is they have a much higher battery life. And without any moving parts, you can easily fill them with a non-conductive oil and give them essentially infinite water resistance. I don't use additional features much. I have a phone for that. So it's mostly just the massively large battery life that appeals to me.
The 35mm size is perfect for this watch, as it faithfully re-releases the original 35mm model. Maintaining the same size preserves its classic appeal. In fact, this watch would suits your husband and even men with larger wrists. My wrist is about the same size as his and I also have a 35mm PRX. The trend in men's fashion is shifting towards smaller, more traditional sizes, often around 36mm, which is becoming increasingly popular. I don't mind the digital PRX either; I actually quite like them! Specially the smaller one which is a huge blast from the past, I remember the nicer steel digitals from the 70s and 80s and I dig this a lot. As for the Powermatic 80, it remains highly reliable and servisable despite incorporating some plastic components. The concerns about this issue are largely exaggerated in my opinion, specially when official Tissot service charges are so affordable. PS: I agree on the mother of pearl dial, I am wearing a mother of pearl PRX right now too.
I like deployant and butterfly clasps on a strap, but comfort shouldn't be sacrificed. The more I pay for a strap, the more I _will_ want a _good_ folding clasp on it, to help reduce wear on the strap (and you can put the watch on more easily w/o fear of dropping it).
I have one in this colourway, only just got it. Worn it for around 15 or 16 hours so far… I have quite hairy, 190mm or so wrist… haven’t had a single hair pull. I love this watch!
Good video except the background music is too loud and interfering the goodness in the video. Please try to lower the sound of background music or remove it completely because that's totally unnecessary
I have modded my SNZG15 with an NH36 movement and couldn't be happier. You can do the same to your SNK803 for less than $50. That upgrade alone gives a huge boost, making the watch truly complete. I love the double-deck dial of the SNZG15. My only wish is that the numerals were applied, just like in this black model-it gives an additional 3D look.
