All you have to do is put some Teflon tape around the head where the gasket goes and put the gasket back on. It gives it a much tighter fit and it won't leak or let water out during a power outage. This was the number one thing that people have complained about for most sunsun filters. You don't have to shut the filter down permanently. Try my trick with any old gasket or O-ring. It works pretty much permanent fix.
@@JakubSK i do from time to time but with an open laser i never recommend to use i for acrylic due to fumes. But also i have a big enclosed co2 that i use of 90% of my acrylic. I only do thin stuff with this due to that.
I liked the concept of it and being able to support other RU-vidrs is a plus. Also i don’t notice pour quality. Seams well put together. I’m no knife builder though.
I have started refurbishing good, used skate decks, trucks and even wheels to donate to kids who need to smile when they have no damn reason to. I have donated one skateboard, (not proud of that one anymore) to B.A.C.A. But plan to do more. Well, I am about to receive a 24"X24" Lazer engraver/cutter. I used to use Corel 5 (so I'll have to relearn a bit to learn now, lol.) Do you have any advice on how to spread my story and "Brand"? If you see this, thank you.
I wouldn’t recommend it for that. I would go with at least a 20w fiber like the com marker b4, LaserPecker LP5, xTool F1 Ultra. My com marker is what i use on just about all gun parts that come through my shop. I do want to get a MOPA for that but huge price jump for that.
@@Jeffdoeswhat Me too. I enjoyed seeing and visiting with all of the vendors, I just wish they had more diverse vendors that supplied a different variety of products.
I am getting this great engraver, I had NO idea about the clothing and t-shirts, how in the world without CUTTING the t-shirt did it do that??? THANK YOU!!!
When engraving a design on the shirt you will have to play with the power levels. I do have best luck with 50/50 shirts when engraving a design. I lower power lasers for the best. It is hard to get dialed in at first but after it is easy time. I don’t do too many but I use lasers all the time to cut shirts or fabrics for appliqué. Especially for baby shirts.
OUCH.... In your eagerness to burn something, IF you had placed a paper towel OR a white sheet of printer paper down on the base FIRST, you would have NOT F-ed up the machine top plate.... Yup, a single sheet of white paper will stop the IR burn from machine damage.... Too late for you, BUT, for your viewers, put down a sheet of paper BEFORE burning anything....
These flat ones from Amazon is what i use the most. I do have to replace them quite often. They last about 3-4 months of daily use before they start to have coating come off to unusable. a.co/d/01kpO2Qb
#Elegoo I am shopping around fro a good 10w laser (would get bigger, but I'm already swapping food for saving to get one, lol)) but I live in an apartment and am concerned about the smoke and smells and my neighbors. So this version of an laser is very appealing. 'as it is' - does it cut down on smoke and smell to allow apartment use? Note i intend to also add an additional powered filtering system to the outside. and this one may allow me to connect the system to the top of the X-Axis, in addition to an enclosure I think it would be overkill, but overkill is good, what do you think?
Depends on what all you are cutting. It did cut down a lot on the smoke. I would still recommend a secondary enclosure if using in your in living area due to what fumes will escape due to smoke being able to mitigate under what you are cutting or engraving
@@Jeffdoeswhat well considering that the DIY system i am getting parts for can do over 400 cubic feet of air per minute - I am trying to decide if i actually need an enclosure, lol. (I may need an oxygen tank to get enough oxygen to breathe with it on full blast). Seriously tho, i only plan on an enclosure and to run it at less than 50% so its super quiet. AND so far its costing about half the cost of buying an air system from a laser supplier, has 8 times the filter capacity and does 4 times the volume
A question here , why wont my sicce 500 powerhead come off fron the csnister itself for cleaning . Many attempts . Just wont come off . i use sicce only in my aquariums 2 plus decades nerver hafd this problem .
I would check the propeller and make sure nothing has it jammed. If isn’t that i would contact their customer support. I haven’t had that issues on any of my 500’s.
Lol I can't even get the main head off the canister it stuck . meaning it will not come off . Many yrs experience with sicce from small to large . I'm really perplexed . I even had a man try it won't come off . Thanks .
@@Jeffdoeswhat I'm planning to engrave and then cut some 1/8" opaque acrylic with my new Phecda - any setting suggestions (cut vs engraving layer depth)? Would you recommend it being covered in paper or 'painted' with tempura or anything? Thanks!! --Jas
I have had to stop doing rescues at the moment and down size my Fishroom due to job change. I was no longer able to afford to keep doing the fish rescues. Hopefully i will be able to do them again in the future.
@@user-ck7wm8uf9s I only have a 125 and 300 gallon tanks up at the moment. I will be setting up one of my 400 gallon tanks again soon. I've been tired of seeing it empty. I just need to figure out where I can set it up.
