First off, Thanks Brad for subscribing to my channel, but it certainly isn't nearly as entertaining as yours !!!! I really enjoyed this video, you certainly know how to get the most fun outta' a little Honda Trail. I had a Honda Trail 55 back in 1964 and ran the crap outta it. This summer I bought a 1972 Trail 90, but my 72 year old body isn't quite the same as it once was, so I'm just gonna be an ol' putt putt man. Keep the little Honda videos coming, I really enjoy them all. By the way, I'm from North Eastern Washington and that Magen is a trooper, my leg hurt just watching the wreck !!!
@perpetualmoto
@perpetualmoto 9 месяцев назад
Thank you so much for the thoughtful message! I was in NE Washington earlier this year when we rode the BDR. These little bikes are just too much fun not to rip! The little bikes are great ways to train in more difficult terrain, less chance of getting hurt and those skills often translate to the bigger bikes as well. Great to hear you are still throwing a leg over the bike at 72! Looking forward to seeing more of your vids in my feed! ADV ON!

Is this doable for beginners on big bikes like 1290 SAR or1250GS?
@perpetualmoto
@perpetualmoto 11 месяцев назад
this is the age old question - when are u ready? test yourself in 3 ways; first unloaded then loaded 1. hillclimbs 2. sand 3. multi-day ride run a few iterations of those challenges starting with easy and work ur way to more difficult. The Utah BDR has short challenging sections and often there are work arounds. Go for it.
@Mikedenton541
@Mikedenton541 11 месяцев назад
How's the 125 compare on the climbs to the 110 without the low range? Obviously the stock tires are a disadvantage.
@perpetualmoto
@perpetualmoto 11 месяцев назад
On trails/ dirt roads, the two bikes are comparable since the 110 is much lighter in weight. On road the 110 is lagging. On the steep, slick and tight climb sections, the 110 in low gears can climb on its own while the 125 normally needs a push. The 125 has extra power for sure, but that extra weight is noticeable. Still, both bikes are amazing and unstoppable. CT4Life Hope that helps.
@Mikedenton541
@Mikedenton541 11 месяцев назад
@@perpetualmoto Thank you! I'm down in oregon and have a 1981 110 and love it. Considering to get the 125 or a XR150L next year.
@perpetualmoto
@perpetualmoto 11 месяцев назад
@@Mikedenton541 also, dont forget, the 125 comes with a 12 volt charging system as well so that opens the door to using heated gear or charging ports...which the 6v system cant handle. the crf250 seems like an amazing machine for a small bike as well.
