Our mission is to ensure those who died in service, or as a result of conflict, are commemorated so that they, and the human cost of war, are remembered for ever.

Hi John, yes we do also put in headstones for the non-commemorated alongside this work of ensuring those with headstones have an accessible point of commemoration.
Such a touching revelation about these children who were devoted to give honour by their constant flowers to the astoundingly brave martyr - soldiers .
These old boys must be sick to their teeth how successive politicians have destroyed the UK. To think what they went through for people like Diane Abbott and others makes me mad. I visited Normandy recently and saw the graves of 18-year-old soldiers whose lives had barely begun to save Western civilisation, only for it to be given away. May they RIP these brave young British souls who allowed us to live, but unfortunately, not for a better future.
My thoughts exactly! We are the 5th largest economy in the world, are we really saying we need to beg for donations to remember those who died for our freedom?
@@pauldurkee4764 I'm inclined to agree with you, many seem to have lost sight of their original purpose. I used to run a small team raising money for the RBL every November. When the scandal broke over the £184k paid to the BRC CEO I checked on their CEO pay, he was on over £150k! To put it in perspective we used to raise about £100k and most of us decided we weren't willing to stand around for hours to raise these kind of "bankers" level salaries so gave up collecting.
hello, thank you for your message. We are asking for support for our chartiable arm, the Foundation. The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) aims to engage and educate people - especially the young - with the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) and the inspiring stories of the men and women who died whilst fighting in the two World Wars. All the funding raised goes directly to supporting our core mission at the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation: keeping the stories of the fallen alive to educate and inspire future generations.
I'm a 59 year old man, I'm sitting on the sofa recovering from covid feeling sorry for myself watching this with the tears running down my face.. Lest we forget. Brave wee lads🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Thank you Belgium for honouring all the men from all over the world who fought and died at Leper (Ypres) especially my great great uncle who is listed on the Menin Gate. He died on 24th May 1915 the day before the end of the second battle for Leper (Ypres). B squadron of the 11th Hussars were wiped out possibly holding the line so others could regroup and stop the German advance. B squadron had grenades throw at them according to the regimental diary.
