It is…I think. It’s hard to explain, because it is metal but it doesn’t feel metal in the same way my x100f does… it’s not cold to the touch, the finish is overly sleek and kind of plasticky, it’s strange!
Is there any alternatives you’d suggest? I love this idea for my hiking trips but don’t want to spend 150 quid on something with that bad camera quality haha
I’ve got face detection on, but point AF selected, single shot focus mode, unless I’m shooting portraits and then will go continuous. In terms of metering I’ve got it on the default!
I've had a similar path, but with one detour. I got the VI, immediately realized I wanted interchangeable lenses, so sold the VI and got the X-T5 (same sensor, a few more dials), and then almost immediately got the GRiiiX (40mm lens) for pretty much ALL the reasons you chose yours. I'm using the X-T5 as my MAIN camera, but always have the GRiiiX in my pocket for a fast shot and a stealth shot at that. I was shooting a surprise proposal for a couple and the girl decided it was too buggy to come out on the beach so I was chasing them around trying to find where they were going to propose. I had it with me for fun and I lost it while moving locations. They ended up not even getting engaged that day either 😂
I liked watching this review because I’m a mountain hiker who’s been weary of a fixed focal length for tough hikes with rewarding views. I’m eager to taking my x100v on a hike. What’s the film simulation used in the shot at 5:38? Cheers from Seattle!

No edit/ minor edit workflow really improves my photography. I took a lot more and shared more photos with my fuji. My photography improved a lot more as a result.
Give the nerdy settings details of those killa photos plz.. your buddy framed those photos perfectly.. I still haven’t found good settings for shooting landscape stuff in NZ

I bought a JVC Picsio camera in 2010. Barely used it. Put it in a box for almost 15 years, just like you said would happen with this one. Now, my six year old son uses it to make little videos. Glad I kept it!
