Hey guys my name is Scott Myers. I have created this channel to show some of my skills and to show handy people how to fix things they think they can do themselves to save some hard earned money. Please like, subscribe, comment and share Thanks, -Scott Myers-
I only wish you had showed what it sounded like when you tried to start it before replacing the starter. But my nephews ltz400 is doing the same thing and now I know what the fix is (have already bought and received the part) and no exactly how to fix it. So I (and my nephew) appreciate the vid brotha!
Man - You are my new Best Friend!! The same thing happened to me. I was 40 miles from home, 11:00 at night and it was like someone reached over and shut the truck off. Didn't start until I let it sit a while. Started - drove as normal then quit again. I talked to my mechanic and he told me that it was either a clogged fuel pump, a bad pick-up in the tank or a bad fuel pump. Ran the code myself, found your video, reset the fuel pump pushing a button I never knew I had and I'm fixed! I just know that the repair shop would have replaced the fuel pump BEFORE resetting the pump switch. BTY - A new inertia switch from Ford is only 20 bucks. I'm replacing mine. You have been liked and followed my friend. Thanks for the help!
Hey great video, just a heads up though. The "icp sensor" that needs a special tool. Is actually the ipr sensor. I get them backwards sometimes too. Keep up with the videos man, still great content.
What oil should you use. How about 10w not 15w or even 20w. The reason is because the engine has chevy 350 small block lifters. Dont believe me. Same part number as ones in the 5.7L hemi or chevy 350. You're not gonna use 15w oil in a 5.7L hemi.
Excellent man thanks for the help. This majorly helped me out brother. I have a 6.0 AAAAND a duramax...... so i have zero money!lol. And i am forced to do all this stuff myself. But i love it anyway. So thanks for paving my road into here.
He showed some good basics. Kinda buctched his quad. A much better way is a 2" vibrant turbo hose with their clamps..imo it's seals at way better than using radiator hose. Second use a 400EX intake boot to the factory box with some mode so you can run an uni clamp on. At the end of the day it's your machine and do do if you don't mind it and it works hell😅
Geez man you make a video on how to remove the h pop and then don't show removing the hpop you point the camera in the general direction of a few bolts and then cut to having it completely out of the engine valley. 👌
@@jessevella7616 when the video is called how to replace the hpop, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to expect the person making the video to show us where the freaking bolts are. It helps to know exactly what to go after when you haven't been working on one of these trucks before and have next to no idea what the hell you're doing lol
My brother just got a 6.0 and has crank no start everything else seems good, had a buddy say hpop its a 2006. Actually looks pretty easy i think the only thing that makes working on these trucks is just getting in the engine bay lol how fast can you do a hpop you think?
If you put RTV ANYWHERE under that cover it will swell and act like a hydraulic pry bar, and sometimes cause a leak. These plates have rubber gaskets to seal the plate. You DO NOT need RTV
I do not agree my friend. Where the rear cover meets the block you have to put a VERY little like in the video. The rubber gasket under the HPOP cover wont seal that part all the way due to the small step from the block to the rear cover. Pretty much in all cases if you have a rubber gasket like this you dont need RTV if the sealing surface is level. ex EJ series valve covers, this case it will not hurt one bit to use that little bit of RTV where i did.
