I wanted to ask if you have a Vimeo or something? I'd love to see your work without all of RU-vid's compression killing the grain at times. Some parts you can see it and some parts it just basically removes it. Absolutely love this though.
Is the audio edited? That is, can I record wind where I live and then edit it to make it sound that way or did you record it and upload the audio without editing?
there's just something unique about analogue film that digital can't replace: 1. shakiness and noise on each frame when you scan them. even when the camera's already steady to record before. 2. small dust that appears randomly, its extremely unpredictable, yet it tells you that this film was done with a physical reel, and it will always be the reason why its charming.
Interesting vibe, but it’s the sound that is selling that vibe. I saw plenty of digitally shot scenes that look as “filmatic” as this one. As someone who actually shot lots of 16mm in the past, I’m still not convinced of its usefulness today. I’ll take my RED Raven DSMC2 camera over my Eclair NPR 16mm camera, any day of the week.
Hey bro, great film) i make some music and upload it to youtube) Can i use your video for my track? I will include link to the original in the description)
You have gone to so much trouble to gather these scenes from roundabout the Hartland Peninsula, it looks like. But why, does it look so nice? It's just lush.
Your are super talented my friend. The rawness, harshness and barrenness of the landscape you capture really hits somewhere deep within. It makes me embrace being British and the beauty within our incredible and unique landscape. I look forward to seeing more of what you create and share with the world. Kudos. Also I don't have instagram so I cannot see any more of your work. Have you considered starting a website portfolio where everyone can see your work?
