@@OllieJones Hey I'm curious about how you got the reddish and blurry feeling on the waterfall scene. As I knlw, professionals like Cinelab can't do mistake while developing. So the answer left must be that your hint of expirement of the film. How's your opinion?
there's just something unique about analogue film that digital can't replace: 1. shakiness and noise on each frame when you scan them. even when the camera's already steady to record before. 2. small dust that appears randomly, its extremely unpredictable, yet it tells you that this film was done with a physical reel, and it will always be the reason why its charming.
Something about the film makes you feel something. One way or another, the imperfections of the image makes it more vivid. I don't think ill ever be able to put it into words. It's something you "feel", and I definitely felt something undescribable watching what is presumably a collection of random shots of a place I've never been to before, yet feels so familiar.
This is a perfect film. You've done an incredible job with the atmosphere and tone of the footage, and the visuals are captured beautifully. It's become one of my favourite RU-vid shorts. Excellent job man, seriously.
This is really well done. The contrasts both visually and auditory work to make a statement that otherwise difficult to do on the length of one 100ft roll of film.
I'm not good at painting but this video wants to make me paint every single shot. One of the most beautiful videos i have ever seen. I'm so thankful for this video.
This is an amazing film!!! The relaxing sounds of nature along with those from man made objects are mixed extremely well with the music in the beginning. And the composition of your cinematography OH MY GOD!!!! And I’m a huge sucker for Black & White film, so that ending was the cherry on top. Spectacular job filming this and putting it all together!!!
Absolutely beautiful. and not just aesthetically. I knew from the very first cut being a cut out, that you were gonna utilize the film in a narrative/cinematic sense. And, I love it, I admire the foley too.
This is Gorgeous! This reminds me of Tarkovskys films like Stalker where the sounds and scenery creates a creepy atmosphere. I love it! What equipment did you use and where was this shot at?
You have gone to so much trouble to gather these scenes from roundabout the Hartland Peninsula, it looks like. But why, does it look so nice? It's just lush.
