Appreciate the humble recommendations and reviews. I feel like iem reviewers are condescending and pretentious. Especially every1 from the headphone show.
I have these and tried them now again. Either mine are faulty or it's the terrible fit but they are downright bad for me now. Not coherent sounding, tinny, shrill and overall a weak soundstage.
The em10 will feature a very different signature from what you are used to. The Arete would be a little closer but they are all upgrades from what you have.
It may sound really silly but I can use them to play live drums. I want to get the most out of them by playing competitive COD and playing live drums. Thank you so much 🫶
@SuperChonk I said it because of the vent it has, I'm afraid that there's a lot of noise out there. I really appreciate that you responded very quickly, you have a new subscriber.
@@Hery_YT most are vented to a certain extent. If you are using them as monitors I would suggest a warm pair as most musicians use them for long hours and a warmer pair is less fatiguing
@@SuperChonk Also, consider this: If burn it was real, wouldn't every company just do it before selling, so they put the best product possible on the market and outcompete other companies?
@@DrinkWater713 Good question. They might or might not as this will affect the time taken to produce which in turn increase cost for the manufacturer and will pass it down to the consumers. Of course if they do want the best experience then they might. So the question would be do they want to outcompete based on quality or cost? But realistically, you have nothing to lose perhaps a few hours of juice.
Mechanical things wear with time and use however the change would be so slow and gradual that you would never be able to audibly tell the difference, research that has been done on the subject says that the changes to frequency response are so minutely small that it could also just be within the tolerance of normal external factors and deviation that is expected when measuring anything.
It's not rolled off. I use an uncompensated graph so it just shows what is true. If you kept looking at graphs on squiq, chances are it is all compensated or simulated at 20 hz as clone couples are unable to measure there reliably. You should try to get a hold of an uncompensated/simulated graph and see how questionable it is. In reality, 20hz reproduction is extremely difficult on a micro driver.
...By the way, those Barrel Tips look like a two-toned version of the Dunu S&S tips(which also now have a clear version). I'm assuming they saw some flaws or rooms for improvement with the S&S tips and decided to capitalize on it(I guess, similar to how Divinus made their own "improved" version of the Radius DeepMount ear-tips), considering that there are not many brands utilizing this shape of ear-tips, a yet unsaturated space with room for competition. I'm willing to bet 7Hz will also eventually be releasing this as a stand-alone product, similar to what Dunu did with the S&S tips. It's actually smart strategy. Instead of having to make large batches not knowing if it'll sell, why not make small batches first, include it as accessory with the latest IEM releases, and then just wait for market feedback; the customers also serving as beta testers.
Hi Superchonk good review, Since you are based in Singapore any idea about Aur brand I see lot of people hyping Aetha but can't find any review online or reliable source. Hope you can get your hands on these and share unbiased reviews
Well to be honest, they are not that well known here. No shops here carry them so access to them is a little tricky as well. But if they reach out to me, I won’t mind haha.
@@simkim14facts Quattro = 4. Penon's house sound is sound old school bassy, where as 7hz seems to be delving into the old school bass sound only since Legato. I'm down. Bring on the bass!
Weird bass hump then roll off under 40hz, not the worse thing but is that just due to the measurement rig seal or does it really just roll off that aggressively? I think they prob coulda done a better job making it less bass boosted, and more aggressive w/ the crossover. I'm curious if the reason for the bass if because its just using a 6mm smol driver instead of using a larger one. Ive heard some other 6mm driver iems and they do really struggle in resolution both in bass & trebs
Firstly, rig is uncompensated and shows true readings. Secondly, the bass boost is by choice and I think this is a good one. There are too many IEMS out there that is trying to feature a scooped /reduced signature and I applaud them for not trying to do that here. Thirdly, nothing wrong with using multiple smaller drivers to handle bass. In the world of bass guitars there is always the choice of going with a huge cone driver vs multiple smaller ones. Which to use really depends on what sort of sound you are going for and both have their inherent benefits and issues to solve.
@@KopiOkaya Usually the case w/ a lot of the clone rigs obv, but still wish they went for neutral tuning, way too many harman and v shaped iems these days
@@KopiOkaya def seems like chonks rig or measurments prevent it from measuring the subbass in a similar way to others raw graphs. Or maybe he's not pushing it deep enough into the rig to get a proper seal. I'm looking @ other vids and it seems like he has the same issue w/ a lot of the responses from other iems.
@@ubacow7109 Unfortunately, you are not understanding my explanation. As I mentioned already I do not use a compensated or maybe a better word would be a simulated graph which is often the case for Chinese 711 couplers and whatever software that is used. If you were to believe what you see on squig to be true. Name an IEM that performs at those simulated (aka made up, aka imaginary) frequencies to actually have the dbs to match in reality at 20 to 30hz. Next , if the seal was not proper, the whole bass segment will shift and this is be blatantly obvious. Secondly, what my graph always include the system that I use. So you are trying to compare a cheap Chinese car with a BMW here.
Actually, look to the Simgot EA1000. I found it superior to the Origin in many ways. If you are looking for a more serious no nonsense high resolution sort of sound then the Simgot EA1000 (Or Tanchjim Origin). If you are looking to have a good time with thicker club like bass that still have a treble extension then the Five.
Hi Chunk. Do you know if 7Hz will sell this eartips separately? I want the 7Hz Five just because the drive configuration hahaha Does 7Hz five have more bass than 7Hz Legato? And man... I want know what happened with the Timeless 2.
I own Conductor GT. Really hoping they'll create a Voyager version. Current model is fantastic! It drives my Susvara and Utopia beautifully. Would love to hear an even more elevated Voyager version. 😀
