Awesome review, has indeed been a long wait! Surprised about the price, was expecting very expensive drivers and something like 700 usd. Maybe I'm equating the simultaneous wait with AFUL Cantor and Tangzu Gate a bit too much :D Must try indeed!
@@SuperChonk definitely will do! This is one of my most wanted, I was very impressed by the Gate, and Aurora absolutely is the next tribrid I wanna add to my collection 🥰
I can almost guarantee that it's not real 'titanium damascus'. If I remember correctly the only known method to create a metal mix that resembles damascus using titanium is actually patented.
Timascus is easy to obtain, I have countless items made from it. It can also be made from different combinations of metals (they give off different colors when anodized).
@@neiloshea1828 Good job you made me research. Yes they are common but I still call BS. The real stuff is incredibly expensive as you fuse two types of Ti alloys. On top of this you still need similar expertise to regular damascus forging which is hard as is and you end up with at least a 20% reduction in the workpiece. So yeah no I don't think it's real.
@@BrandonAdams1010 THIS! The chifi QC and warranty procedures are just straight up a lottery at this point. For a normal person with an ordinary income I have set my lottery ticket at 100 dollars :o
Compared it with the likes of Thieaudio and other similar range iems and found that I prefer the confident and smooth sound with very wide soundstage of the Aurora. In other words I think it can demand a higher price than $400.
I will never get anything from 7hz the shitty service (requiring multiple video proof of defect) & still only sending 1 side of the iem to waiting 1-2 weeks for the 1 side iem to arrive & then still the channel imbalance not solved. Yeah the qc & service is shit. All of this i experienced with legato.
