Oldschool gamer who’s been collecting for many years. And like most trying to get the games back I originally sold, and the games I always wanted as a kid.
I am new to your channel, I like your stuff, great little cabin you've got. I have subscribed and look forward to more of your content. Thank mate, phill.
@@Retro-cabin plays better with the 3d pad...treat like a racing game with triggers being left and right foot brakes...it was the water effects for me...and the music took it another level...got my copy brand new for xmas 97, it would now cost me more to buy it today, than it did 😂
@@Retro-cabin No worries dude. Killer Amstrad computer dude. You seem like you know your stuff. I'm getting an Amiga 500 soon too, so I enjoy the idea of using disks in a similar way.
Some cracking games there. Those repros look really good. My top 5: 1. Sega Rally Championship - the car handling is just perfect. 2. Nights Into Dreams - pure Sega imagination. Better with the 3D controller....and that soundtrack. Bought the CD boxset in Japan last year. 3. In The Hunt - great submarine shooter 4. Die Hard Arcade - what a 3D Streets of Rage would/should have been 5. Keio Flying Squadron 2 - just plain bonkers in all the right ways I've always been intrigued by two other games, Cho Aniki and Psyth but, can't add them to my list as they're still on my shelf unplayed. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LerAQUwxoHA.html - words fail me. The game that the abbreviation "WTF" was created for. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ouUviiI2C04.html Check out the fade and transparency effects around 2:17. Such a shame that this little shooter is hidden deep away in Tokimeki Memorial: Forever with You. Thanks for the great video.
@@trebornewo3354 Sega rally is awsome never gets old and like you said the handling is on point, nights into dreams a brilliant game and totally different and timeless. In the hunt love that game but I’ve only played the Ps1 version metal slug meets the ocean brilliant game. There’s so many good games on the saturn doing a list is hard 😂.
man I remember when I had the nintendo game cube. mario kart, resident evil 4, metroid was my favorite. I played zelda wid waker but never got to finish it
Nice collection :) I like Strikers 1945 too. I have Strikers 1945 for Saturn and Striker 1945 II for ps1. I like the Street Fighter Zero series too but my favorites are Zero1 and Zero2 for Saturn. For me, the best software for Saturn is Virtua fighter 2 , Daytona USA CCE , Winter Heat , Out Run , Dead or Alive , Last Bronx. The perfect version of Out Run is the only saturn version. So Out Run for saturn is masterpiece. Have a nice weekend :)
I think the C64 of this game had Thriller like music, which got removed from later versions of the game. R & D Darling, they went onto to create Code Masters
Did you get a shipping notification. I preordered and paid for mine right when it was announced. It’s supposed to release today but I haven’t gotten a tracking number. I’m going to be pissed if I have to wait till next week to play it
@@jamesdorsey5503 yes I got a shipping notification, I bought mine from nis Europe through the shop app, and got notifications and tracking through the app. I can’t fault nis Europe there on it. Who did you order through?
SPACE HARRIER was one of my childhood favorite games on the Commodore 64 and Amiga 500 back in the early 1990's 😺👍🕹️. I also still have CHILLER (tape) for my Commodore 64 😹🤘🕹️.
@@OrbitGametv I would start with persona 3 reload then go persona4 golden and persona 5. There great games take a while to beat, but you can’t beat the story, gameplay and the music👍🏻😎🍺.
psp i never really payed any attention to it during its time even up till now, but looking closer into its library there is some gems in there. i just may get myself a little psp collection. just a select few like the god of war ones
I like Space harrier so much that I've experienced a bunch of game console versions. But this is my first time seeing this version now. I just found out about the existence of Amstrad cpc 464 now. It's quite charming. I enjoyed the video :)
The Amstrad cpc 464 was an 8 bit micro computer from the 80’s in England, my parents got me one in 1985 a brilliant machine which had some unique arcade ports from the times👍🏻😎🍺.
@@Retro-cabin Pal. But it's working now. It's seems I have to press start after selecting the game.. But one particular thing is, I created an image from nights into dreams Christmas edition and that game in the saroo doest appear as Christmas edition but special edition. Anything please?
yeah this game was stuck as an arcade only game for a long time. finally got released with the Capcom Arcade Stadium in 2021 for steam, switch, ps4, xbox one. progear really is an excellent game.
I heard most games on CPS2 unable to get proper ports (SF2s are more like reinventing instead of port, like in 8bit era) because of that unusual, anamorphic resolution.
Next time i will try and get the camera closer, most people just zoom in on the screen, I like to try and get the whole set up in so you can see the Amstrad cpc 464 so you know I’m not emulating, and just zoom in on what ever device your watching it on👍🏻.
Great collection. I started with IBM in 1991 (I played Karateka and Prince of Persia on it), but to be true it was father computer for Job. My console was PS2 later x360, PS4, my Great regret XONE, And i have now PS5. Also i have PSP and PSVita which i play from time to Time.
I started with the Amstrad cpc 464 in 1984😂 I’m an old bugger😂. My current main system is the ps5, love the vita my favourite handheld very misunderstood.
My top 5 PS2 Games 5 Devil May Cry 3 4 God Of War 2 3 Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons Of Liberty 2 Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater 1 Resident Evil Code Veronica X
Good. Choices devil may cry great series, code Veronica i played on dreamcast. And I still haven’t played a metal gear game yet😳, it’s on my to play it list and it’s a big list😂
Great Game,, the dessert level with the steam train get a turbo boost off of the start line and you should get past the 1st train without delay, giving a big lead as the other drivers have to stop and wait.
Back in the day, when the N64 was brand new, I chose to wait, until the N64 was available. I''m so happy I made that choice. Other choices could've been: Sony PS1, Atari Jaguar, Sega Saturn. The 5 games you listed, are amongst many others games that, imo, demonstrate why I made that correct choice. In addition the N64 controller for that 1st generation of proper, first-person perspective, so called 3D perspective games, is still perfect, I think, especially that the centre analogue stick is extremely tight and delicate, exactly what the player needs.
Same here, I had one friend with a saturn (which at the time was a disappointment, absolutely love it now) and everybody else had a ps1, with one friend having an imported n64. I waited for the 64 like you and was not disappointed, a lot of great games and memories with the n64 especially ocarina of time. And the controller I thought was really ergonomic, especially for first person shooters with the trigger felt just like a gun😂. Thanks for watching.
