I have had an FM for a little while. You'll enjoy getting to know it and figuring out the way of photography with the FM. Every camera has its own little quirks. I suggest picking a film stock and stick to it for a few rolls at first. Have fun!
This was my first SLR, bought it new back in 1978. It's really reliable and well built, but it's not built for speed. Eventually I switched to the Canon A-1 and still have it 35 years later.
