To think that the English government refused the Gurkhas to live in Britain. The English government allow all the rubber dinghy rubbish in unchecked. Disgraceful.

Although I hate to say it, part of the problem on this climb was the fact that the safety valves were blowing full for an awfully long time, just when the driver needed to hear exactly what the engine was doing, by way of the exhaust beat. It could be said that the fireman did his job too well, which ultimately caused problems for the driver. And at such low speed that high boiler pressure cannot be used, as it will simply cause more slipping. Even so, full marks to the driver for keeping that train on the move, if only just; he deserved a medal.
I would have thought the lounging police officer would have shown some respect when the Last Post was played. I only hope he thought fit to stand up for the National Anthem.
It was a pleasure watching these steam engines roaring by now they are just memories. I think there should be a dedicated line to them even today if possible.
Yes as a L.I. veteran they have always been part of the light brigade or rifles and royal green jackets you notice the rifles and Gurkha's don't shoulder arms on the march they trail them this is from when they were skirmishes they carried the muskets at the trail so the powder didn't fall from the pan and was always ready to fire

Anyone who carries a blade that looks that wicked and does good in the world with it gets my respect. Just found out about the gurkhas not that long ago, i love reading about the stuff yall do, please never change or stop.
The way labour and the Tories treated them was dam right disgusting, they wouldn't treat their own people like that the dingy divers the way they treated our heroes
