15:05 for anyone watching, make sure your image doesn't go over that green line (into the shaded area). or the software will tell you " out of processing area" i had to find that out the hard way. i had my line at the highest point and had the image splitting that line, thinking the rotary would spin.... doesn't quite work that way. lol
oh my word, that's a lot of "mathing" on the letters -- and I'm curious why you didn't change anything on the shape of the racket since it was also on a taper? I loved the video, great detail!
My RA2 is spinning before the engraving starts all the way to the other side and then will start engraving. Any idea what it could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I love the space saving feature by putting the router on the table saw. I actually did a similar thing. My saw isn’t portable. I built a cabinet with 3 small drawers on each side of a router access door and 2 larger drawers below that. I made my blast gates for everything in my shop the same way except in a 4” size. Put Formica on the top for extreme durability and slickness. I leave the door just cracked open for air. Works great! I have the 3 1/2 hp Milwaukee router and the Jessem master lift ll. What a combination!! Hope to see more of your ideas!
What did you measure to get the 88mm diameter? I have a design but not sure where to put in the measurements because when I did it tried to wrap the whole design around the tumbler vs keeping it in a general area how you did with the tennis rack and name. I just don't know what I'm missing to not understand how to do that.
👍🏼Well done! Good idea for the 90degree weld. Can you make cone legs from round tube or tapered legs from square tubing? Get back to me when youve done the video.
How did you determine the size of the letters? I understand about the width of the cup changing but how did you determine without a lot of trials? Is there some kind of ratio? Loved the video and will refer back to it.
Picked up this base! Excited to know that you can fit any custom desk top or some of their premade ones. Went with their premade dark walnut and cant wait to try it out.
Hi That is a nice design and great video. I need a FlexiSpot workbench to roll around in my workshop! I have subbed and will be watching more. Regards James One Handed Maker - Australia
This was extremely helpful as I did not know about the laser calibration tool while setting up! My laser did indeed need a little bit of help reaching the center so I ran the tool and it's much better now! After that though, I'm still not getting any burning out of the laser module itself! Having a hard time figuring out the issue on my brand new machine :(
I figured out that the software didn't auto-set the power parameters for my materials. It was set to 1% for everything!! No wonder nothing was burning XD A bit annoying that it doesn't set it up for you.
If you are adventurous and prepared to take the time to measure, tape off, do things in stages, then the only size limitations are your imagination and resolve. Where there is a will..
I have seen some creative uses for cnc machines before. This doesn't seem that creative to me. It looks nice and is repeatable for production. But, when I think of "art", production furniture doesn't come to mind.
We’re really struggling to get ours calibrated. I’m not sure if it’s new software but it’s asking for 3 optical path tests which require to make adjustments to each of 3 mirrors and then ends up with the first being off again. Customer service has been no help either. It’s become super frustrating! Do you only need to do one test in this version of the software?
same, I've spent hours on it today. The first dot was a little off, so it had me move to the back, adjust that one, then the one that feeds into this mirror, then when I go to pulse for the first/last one - zero marks. Nada. Nothing on the tape or the housing. At this point I've screwed ever adjustment on that front mirror corner so much that I don't know what to do since I have no idea where I have ended up. The other two spots to put tape and check are still fine, it's just the beam refracting out of the last corner and over to the laser head that doesn't want to do anything in any direction to appear like it's passing the beam to the laser head. I'm done for the day after 6-8 hours on this. I'm not a novice by any means either. I've calibrated plenty of other machines manually. I have no idea what the heck this one is trying to lead me to with all these steps when the first beam was only a little off.
@@EclecticLauren have you tried updating the software? The newest version has a much more simplified process and that’s how we were able to move forward. Such a pain the butt!
@@janethbetancourt141 yep, fresh install in the past 72 hours since unboxing. I can check again, but I have since lost two of the springs that hold the little rods that change the direction to focus the laser beam and am waiting to see if I can purchase more. Thank you!
@@janethbetancourt141 me too. I've got a M1 Ultra and accessories all still sitting here in the boxes bc I needed this one in place before I moved more things around to give it a "home". And if you want some crap CS - buy a Glowforge. LOL
