I've been bass fishing 35+ years and I still suck at it lol. Sure over those decades I've managed to catch a handful of 5 to 6 lb bass (big for the Northeast US) but way more often than not, I'm either catching grass, twigs/shoreline wood, or simply spending a nice day out on the boat reeling back lures with nothing on them at all. I finally broke down and bought an action cam recently so I can get recordings of those rare events when I catch a fish. This is a place for me to share those videos with friends, family and whoever else stumbles upon this channel. I've also linked a few of my favorite youtube channels of people who do actually know how to successfully bass fish and share their insights.
@@donnieb903 yeah lol. If I added any narrations I probably would have said that in the end. Need to figure out a way to share your video clips of your catches next time.
Good video man . Look like a good day on the water . That was awesome seeing the train going by . Love train too . If i hear a train coming i will run up to the train & watch it go by . I also like your sandals you are wearing . What kind of sandals are you wearing cuz I like to see if i can get me a pair . The problem i have is i am a big dude same size as you with big & very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ) with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe . It's a very very extremely wide foot I have . I Get tease a lot how extremely wide my feet 🦶 are . I get call ( BIGFOOT , FLINTSTONES FEET , DUCK FEET 🦶 , WIDE FEET 🦶 ) & I can't get mad about it because it's true . My foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots when I was young & the only footwear that will fit is flip flops 🩴which barely & I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps . Both of my lil toes hang off the footbed of my flip flops 🩴 because of how evenly straight across my toes are . Question do you wear your sandals out in public or you just only wear them for boating cuz i am looking for something that is comfortable to wear all day long for boating and out for Is casual as well . I would appreciate your help buddy . Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video & be safe out there on the water .
@@mackjenkins7721 hey thanks! I hear ya on the wide feet dilemma, Im there too with all my shoes needing like 3E or 4E. Those are Teva brand sandals. I do wear them everywhere but they are great for the boat. Unfortunately they dont come in Wide. I have looked all over for sandals and flip-flops that come in wide sizes and have yet to find one. So what I ended up doing was buying the Tevas like a size larger than I needed. You can get them on Amazon. It works, you dont have to worry about them being too long. Im not sure the biggest size they come in though.
@@aintnobassmaster Oh OK you have wide feet 🦶 too ? WOW can I say ( Welcome to the WIDE FEET CLUB ) " LOL" My 3rd son John he is a 4E wide sz 13 at the age of 13 years old . He is going to have very very extremely big feet 🦶 if he is a sz13 4E wide right now . I just hope & pray 🙏 that he feet 🦶 don't grow wider than 6 E wide . OK the sandals are Teva sandals. I use to have a pair of Teva sandals way way back in 1991 Through 1993 before my feet 🦶 got a lot bigger & a lot wider as my toes got fatter & fatter . That would be nice if they make some Teva sandals for people with wide feet 🦶 like us . I have not found a pair of flip flops 🩴 that come in wide width but the only flip flops 🩴that I can buy is Reef Fanny flip flops 🩴 because they come in my sz15 but both of my lil toes hang off the footbed of my flip flops 🩴 but at least I can wear flip flops 🩴. Chaco's sandals do come in wide width but they have a toe loop on them & my big toe wouldn't fit though the toe loop because my big toe is to fat & wide at 2" inches wide. Yeah I have a chubby fat wide toes that's helping my feet 🦶 to be 6 1/2 inches wide . I have to take off my right flip flops 🩴to drive my car 🚗 barefooted 👣 because of how extremely wide my feet 🦶 are. My foot Touches both gas and brakes pedal at the same time because of how extremely wide they are . I have to look down at the pedal to see where to put my foot at so that I don't have a rear end collection & at night time I have to turn on a red light down on the floor just to see were to put my foot at on the pedal. I really appreciate that information buddy . I am going to look up a pair & see what I can get for me & my 6 boys because all 6 of my boys have very wide feet 🦶 as well .
Nice video buddy! Looks like a great place to fish. Keep after em my friend! Just wanted to let you know that I'm taking a little break from RU-vid for a while. I keep up with over a hundred channels with complete loyalty to their content and have been doing this for a couple of years now. Unfortunately, maintaining my support has completely wore me down. Not leaving, but my reply times will be much slower for a while. Appreciate you buddy! Keep up the great work!
I used to fish there a lot. I heard the water authority bought it and no one could fish it anymore. Glad to see that was false. I'll be headed down this weekend to fish it again.
@@lonestar1775 I did see a sign along the road near the fishing center entrance that said something to the effect of save the lake for recreation use by some citizens group so maybe it was a recent or even ongoing issue with the water company. Would be a total shame to see that happen to any lake.
You did a really good job out there buddy! Enjoyed checking this out! Keep up the good work and thanks so much for sharing your adventures! Tight lines my friend!
Nice video! Did you notice what you did when you caught your last & biggest fish? That long pause when you looked away! Next time you go there, bring a Spro white frog in that grassy cove.. Good job
@@aintnobassmaster Bass season is closed there right? until end of June? Im in Md. and have been fishing Lake Anna in Va. but will head up there s soon as bass can be fished for.!
@@bobwalsh719 I catch n release so they are always in season for me. Only time Ive ever heard of not actually being able to catch something is that crazy May ban on targeting Rockfish in the bay.
It's all good buddy! We all get in those slumps at times. I've had a hard time myself getting out. I went two days in April, two days in May and so far two days in June. I should be able to get out again for another couple of days towards the end of the month. I've caught a few bass on each trip, but nothing to brag about. I fish several places here in Central Virginia. I really only fish for largemouth bass. My largest this year is a little over 4 pounds. Keep gettin after em and you'll have some great days! Thanks for the update!
You’re invited to lake Marlboro or any other lake I frequent anytime!!… but you’re always out catching bass with your wifey! And I dont think you have a PA license
So glad you broke out of the drought! That was a very nice catch as well. Too bad about cutting the trip short, but glad everything turned out okay. Thanks again for sharing with us. Tight lines buddy!
That's right, there's always next time! Some days are just tough! But at least you caught a good one and no skunk in the boat! Enjoyed watching you out there. Keep up the good work my friend! Looking forward to your next adventure!
I have an older boat and every time go to do a project like this it turns into more than I expected but good job sparks around gasoline is frightening.
I really like the battery post mounted buss bars that you have. Right now I stack up multiple wires of various sizes on my terminals. I am not happy with that. So I got a side benefit from your video!
Thanks for sharing some good helpful information buddy! I enjoyed checking this out. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing everything come together and you out there on the water! Tight lines my friend!
Nice video and I really enjoyed watching, even though it was a very tough day! But at least you got out there and knocked the rust off! It definitely could have been a lot worse. It will get better my friend! Looking forward to many more adventure from you! Tight lines!
Shouldn't you cut the line/cardboard to reduce it's chances of harming wildlife? I'd imagine in a landfill that cardboard is going to disintegrate rather quickly leaving a tangle of line for birds and whatever else to get tangled in.
Thanks for sharing this my friend! I did find it interesting and informative. Hope you can get things straightened out with it and it helps you. Keep up the good work and looking forward to more great stuff from you buddy!
Some really nice items! I enjoyed watching this and thought all of the items were worth having. Thanks for sharing with us. Keep up the good work my friend!
After a season and a half of use I am very happy with that Kastking Brutus net. It handles bass over 5lbs with no problem at all. I agree with you on the carrying case. I have never used it yet and don't see a need for it in the future. I have other Kastking products and am very satisfied with all of them.
Nice video and appreciate you sharing your gear with us. You got some really nice gear in my book. I can't afford those premium toys, so what you have is right up my alley. Hope they work out great for you this year. Definitely interested in hearing your thoughts later down the road. Keep up the good work my friend!
Hey thanks for the feedback. This one ended up way longer than I anticipated. Also had some weird video/audio out of sync issues so sorry about that. I think I have two more episodes for this series. Thanks for watching!
That was awesome! Congrats to Don on winning a great giveaway package! Keep up the great work my friend. I'm hoping 2024 is going to be a remarkable year for you and your channel!
The last day of fishing for the year is truly a sad day! You had some very nice catches. New subscriber here. I enjoyed the video and looking forward to following along with you in 2024. Happy New Years!!!
