Hi Efficient Swimming, do you do video analysis? I am trying to improve my freestyle swimming. If you have a couple of minutes to point out my biggest problems and how to solve them would be highly appreciated: watch?v=S6DL16aHY0Q

I've been struggeling working on proper rolling movement after the entry for quite some time now (which also had a negative effect on my breathing technique). This explanation will help me a lot working on my key issue - front arm movement after the entry! I've only tried to "swim tall" for a better glide and was very successful with one arm breathing drills but could never really "connect" when swimming. Looking forward to my next swimming session :)

Clearest explanation of this I’ve ever seen. Well done for using land-based guide. Much clearer than the water based demos. Keep up the good work.

This is perfect explanation, I have found slowing everything down. For me to make sure I am doing it all right, big glides and concentrate where my arms are going. I saw a video about breathing every 2 and not gasping and my long distance became so much easier.

Can you please show more of this in the water. I have trouble when I breathe with my hand dropping and pushing down; like you demonstrated. Thank you.

Very well explained, thank you. One question though, what initiates rotation? Is it: the reach and stretch of your forward (gliding) hand; or, is it a muscular hip/ab flex; or, is it the well timed kick? Again thanks!

This was very helpful to understand how we can create an efficient stroke based on how our brain works. I’m excited to try the 3 focal points in the way you explained. I will try to get someone to film my swimming so I can get some feedback. Thanks so much for creating these videos. You are excellent at explaining concepts in a way that makes it easy for us to understand.

excellently explained ... I have dropped my times from 2;10 per 100m to 1:45-1:50 per 100m and reduced strokes as gliding more effeciently -- many thanks

Thanks for the video! I am adept of "total immersion", I bought Terry's book and I watch his video. Now you have shed light on many details I didn't understand. In my country (Romania) there are no "total immersion" followers, that's why I train alone and it's very hard for me.

Unless I am not understanding something, as a new swimmer I can't see where this is a " kick from the hips" as this person is bending at the knees .........??????
