The story of the Titanic has always enthralled me. It’s just so horrifying to think about what happened that night, so far out to sea, in the cold of night, all that ice and water. It also just so happens, that April 15, is my birthday. And I gotta tell ya, seeing so many headstones with that day on them, in one place, is very eerie for me. Kinda gives me chills.
I love this cemetery! The unknown child has since been identified (Sidney Goodwin) and his grave reflects that. Imagine the people who didn’t make it on board how upset they were…until Titanic went down and that disappointment turned to gratitude. So many stories…thank you for telling some of them. All lives are sacred.
6:00 The Californian had switched off their radio because the message transmitter on the Titanic had told them to stop interrupting him while he was busy delivering telegraphs to the passengers on the Titanic. He made his money by getting telegraphs to the passengers. He pissed the radio communications guy on the Californian off, so he turned his radio off.
That Iceberg broke off from a glacier in Greenland about the time construction was starting on the Titanic. It drifted for 2 years before colliding with the Titanic. Most icebergs don't last the journey. It likely would have reached warmer waters, and melted away a couple weeks after being hit by Titanic.
Genius! The drone's perspective of the fireworks was interesting and exciting! The Love American Style theme was truly inspired! What a great blast from the past! --- Many thanks for putting this together! Wishing you continued success with your channel and endeavors. ~~ Allen
