A great beat em up would be throws that work weapons that look good have decent damage with range and don't break fun roster to choose from cut scenes that don't last long but are not rushed either extra colors to choose with costumes as well extra options that change how the game play's specials as optinal don't drain your health.
Expanded roster for me is 8 to 15 people to choose from throws very little fun weapons always come out bad they don't look good very little damage and range always break for me this is some beat em ups that i play being attacked through combat crazy block no and if there is it suck's.
Damn, that sucks I was kinda looking forward at this game, It looked like a (good) Sonic 3D blast mixed with gun gameplay. Its a shame how this turned out....
I'm confused ??? Isn't this supposed to be like a action horror beat em up ??? So why go with this clean brightly polished look ??? It's strange, plus with this silly, choppy animation style it just takes away from the game.
I liked it, but it’s the exact same game with different graphics. The best version IMO is Night Slashers X on open BOR. There’s widescreen, new moves, and Ash from Evil Dead is a playable character.
I can hear the pain in your voice! It's clear you hate giving negative reviews and are very thoughtful about giving devs a chance before smashing their game. I appreciate that perspective because so many others just love to bring negativity.
Why don't developers understand that Frame rate is more important than graphics and features.... 60 should be bare minimum standard and the goal the next few years should be to get games consistently to 120 fps on console.
Thanks for the warning! I was really waiting for this. I missed this game on its initial release and just learn about it because of the switch release. Too glad I have a steam deck so I'll for sure buy it there once I finish sonic frontiers!
Looks like it wasn't optimized, makes me wonder if developers are counting on the next Switch having the extra power combined with backward compatibility to correct the issue - Would be interesting to revisit lazily ported games if that becomes true -
That's such a shame, i played it quite a bit when it came out on Game Pass and reallt enjoyed it. Without decent performance though and any game like this just falls apart.
I will say, I've been hugely excited for this game on Switch since I only have that console. And here's my Experience. Started played and it ran fine for awhile in the tutorial area till I got to the first world, and MAN did it CHUG, probs 5fps to 10fps. I knew it wouldn't be perfect but I was kinda sad, but I was confident and kept playing, but as time went on it started to fix itself and now it runs around 20fps to 30fps throughout playthroughs. Only issue with me personally is when I let go of the ride mode and start shooting it'll process the input for ram and not shoot which gets a little annoying. Even when I boot back up it sticks around the 25fps and 30fps. It's not a huge issue for me personally and I am having a blast with it but I highly recommend if you own any other console get it there instead, and if you want if for Switch just for portability I implore you get a steam deck. If you're like me and only own a Switch, it'll have hiccups at the beginning, but it does get better other time and I am having fun with it
That new look is so sanitized and half-assed looking. I know people are trying to cut costs and no one likes to do hand-drawn pixel art, but come on!!! There's no emotion, no "soul" to this look. It's the equivalent of new, overly produced music: no real hooks, no real meaning. If you saw something that looks like this in an arcade, would you wanna drop in a quarter??
Im so sad. I was really looking forward to this game for a long time. Ive really been into all the new chill games that DONT have farming. Im so tires of farming based chill games. That and the studio Ghibli style had this ay my tiprop of gaming lists. Im so bummed. I hope Puff Pals Island Skies is actually good.
games are all the same, if they gave you a big moveset.. like the amount you get in wrestling games then it would be awesome but spamming the same moves over and over i personally think it's boring
I never played the original game. Had I known it was on Switch I would buy it in an instant. Too bad that it got delisted. The artstyle of the remake doesn't look that bad in my opinion. The animation however looks like it could have had a few more extra frames ( maybe im just too used to Streets of Rage 4). If this game is on sale I will get it.
Pity, coz it looks like there's a decent game under there somewhere... Never mind, I'm 3 hours into Zelda and it's GREAT! Though, like Links Awakening, the framerate DOES struggle occasionally :[
I been reading the comments and I think I'm the only person that much prefers the look of the remake. They've brought the stages to life and added way more detail and little enhancements, the gore doesn't seem all that different and unless they did that weird, plasticy 3D art style like in that new double dragon game for example, I don't see what else they could have done. I just watched a side by side on RU-vid after watching this review and.........nah, I'll take the remake.
I thought the demo looked really disappointing visually when compared to the trailer. Realizing the Switch is a potato, I tried the demo on PC as well. It was a difference like night and day. High-resolution textures, dynamic shadows, lighting and colors look a lot better. I really recommend checking out the demo on Steam if you have a gaming PC, laptop or even a steam deck.
