Welcome! Our channel is all about deer. In the summer our channel is mainly focused on planting & creating food plot videos and other management practices like spraying weeds in food plots, mock scrapes, etc. In the fall we are focused on mainly uploading our filmed hunts. Not EVERY deer hunt video we upload is there going to be a monster buck killed in the video, or even a deer killed. We upload every hunt where we see deer, even if we don't kill anything. In the spring comes our favorite time of the year and our most popular time of the year on this channel: SHED HUNTING! Shed hunting videos are the main base of this channel in the spring and are basically what started, and elevated the channel to what it has become today. Hunting is not always about killing the biggest buck in the area, here at Wisconsin Whitetail we focus on having fun, creating long lasting memories and managing our property by planting food plots and improving the habitat and wildlife in general.
I really liked how it yielded. Probably better than the field corn in most areas I planted it. The 100 day variety this year is supposed to be better for northern areas because of the shorter maturity time and should hopefully be more attractive because the NutriCrave gets a lot of its extra nutrients late in the dry-down phase.
Not sure the exact brand. Got it from the local Ag Co-op. They sell deer plot corn for $30ish bucks a bag. I guess it’s test plot corn seed. Not a true variety they sell. So that’s why it’s cheap. Grows just fine though.
@@jimfoecking3591 1-2qrts per acre. 1 quart is 32oz. If using a backpack sprayer I would do 3-4 oz per gallon. I’ve sprayed the corn with heavier doses than that and never had any residual damage. Seems like the beans are more picky. Easier to damage.
I watch all your great videos. I plan on doing no till plot with cereal gran oat Rye &Wheat & Peas. I believe I seen u do it before with cereal gran. Boy those WTI Winter Green want up in prices big time this year. When did u plant your Brassicas?
@@patrothwell9138 the wintergreens have always been one of the most pricy brassica blends per pound. Most likely due to the blend being 50% kale varieties which stay green longer than the turnips and radishes.
I know how you feel about the chemical burn. I put too strong a spray mix on a couple expensive new young fruit trees and it completely killed them. You get upset with yourself, cause it was all my fault!! But learned a lesson and wont do that again!!!
Looks great from WTTN! Glad to see some new content. I still would like you to come out by me and check out my 80 with all my tree plantings and food plot set up
I use a DJI mini 2. They are a great budget drone for the every day person. 20min battery life, range is about 1-1.5 miles away. No need for a drone over $1000. DJI minis are $400-$500 I think. Bought mine 2 yrs ago.
I’ll look into it. I have some prowl left over and will definitely lower the rate next year in my beans, hopefully at a lower rate I still have great weed control but less damage to the beans. The corn was unphased at the heavy rate.
We are having a lot of issues with Mares tail and RU resistant weeds. I was wondering how the Prowl H20 worked and where you purchased it from, and how much did you spray per acre? Did you still use RU and 2-4-D? Great job on the TRUMP sign. Thanks, Bob SWWI.
I got it on Amazon. I sprayed it at around 4qrts to the acre. Some areas may have gotten a second pass and Obviously it was too much. Next year I’m going to try it at 2qrts an acre. It says on the label 3-4 is fine for soybeans. It did a great job at controlling small seeded broadleafs like pig weeds, water hemp, lambs quarter. Only a few rag weeds and grass came up. All I did post was spot spray the grass and ragweed with gly.
Thanks GREAT JOB ON THE TRUMP PLOT, did anyone from the Trump Team reach out to you? Keep up the good work, where are you located...we are south of Mt. Horeb. Thanks, Bob
Awesome plot! My question is this. Is it illegal to use grown seed and use? Or does that just pertain to roundup ready varieties? I had a farmer tell me that can’t be done with corn so I looked up soybeans as well but only find info on rr soybeans. Anyways looks great . Hope he flies over and sees it on one of his many trips to wisconsin!
Yeah I’ve tried using shelled out corn doesn’t germinate very well 50% or less. But the ones that do come up make good ears. Beans you get a lot better germination from harvested seed. It’s not illegal as long as it’s just a food plot.
Awesome video. I had no interest in foodplot videos until this year. And I learned a bunch just from this video. Absolutely love the trump corn also. Keep us updated! Be sweet to have a drone come zooming in to you sitting behind a big buck next to the trump corn 😂
I’ll have updates of this plot and all my other plots near the end of the summer with drone footage. I Still have alot of planting videos to get out yet.
Hell yea brother!!! Time for dementia Joe to go!!! Also nothing for nothing but I’m not sure why you don’t use your earthway bag spreader to lay out your soybeans. I do it every year no issues and have great plots of beans way easier than your bucket method
Yeah it’ll probably be the coons more than anything else. But there’s enough other corn in the area this year where I don’t think they will do enough damage to mess up the sign.
