Thanks for this genius hack.I used an electric sonicare brush. After cleaning up my captain willard bronze looks better than new.Actually it looks more like rose gold than bronze.Greetings from Germany.
The bracelet is the last thing I look on a watch. No matter how expensive a watch, I prefer nato or para strap. Don't have a bracelet fetish. You don't want a strong lume to give your position away. That will get you killed.
Has it not recieved a ceramic bezel yet ? The paint chips badly after a few years hammer , the rest of the watch is solid , an aftermarket ceramic bezel insert would be a good thing
I think it’s a great watch and after buying it while ago it’s getting more wrist time than my Speedy or Panerai base for daily wear . I found the lum isn’t as good as in more expensive makes but it’s a tiny compromise I feel getting such a great quality and brilliant look for a fraction of the cost on the more prestigious divers . Toda . Lechaim 🙏
I did my San Martin bronze diver a few days ago with lemon juice and an old worn out toothbrush. Along with the buckle I let it soak for about an hour, using the brush a couple of times very lightly. It came out as new, perfect. I turned the bezel two turns during the process, and then rinsed it with cool water, also turning the bezel while rinsing. Then I dried it with an old kitchen towel, put it back together and put it on. Beautiful watch.
Thanks for the tips. The F6922 in my Kamasu settled on +8.5..9 spd, which I didn't like, so regulated it to *under* 0.5 spd (in the all-day-round wearing mode) with the help of a software timegrapher on Android. Really requires some micrometric precision. In this case, only "dial down" position was available to me, but the trick is you want to get the software grapher to show about +5 spd in this "dial down" position, then it will be perfect on the wrist when it settles. The movement itself is extremely stable and shows very little positional deviation, if any. Never saw such performance before. Kudos to Orient!
Let's be honest. Just about the only selling point on this watch seems to be the orange dial. The thing is, I'd want it in a diver since to a large number of divers it's similar to the aesthetic of one of Jacques Cousteau's watches. And for people who read horrible fiction, I believe Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt wears something similar to that model.
@@WizardWatch After this review, I bought the blue color of this watch, and I can tell you that I am very happy with this watch. The blue dial has a hundred shades of blue in it, it changes color depending on the light, but when it gets a bit darker you see the real beauty of this watch, it looks so luxurious. it's just a work of art and the longer you look at it the more I fall in love with it. Thanks bro!
Man, this really proves how underrated Citizen has become outside their diver's and pilot style watches. To be fair, the Tsuyosa line is nice but this line trumps it.
I am sorry but you sound really cheap when you are taking about the price. I have held these and purchased one. This company is giving people the best value for the price range. 😊
Can a bronze watch fade or lose bronze look like plated gold watches ? Not talking about patina. Will the bronze be bronze forever? Don’t like patina look, hesitant to buy bronze watch.
Bronze watches are usually an alloy made with 8% tin, but the whole watch case is made with that alloy. The bronze color will not “fade” like a gold plating. Plating is a few microns of gold on top of stainless steel, which is why plating can be removed and you can see the color of the stainless steel base. CuSn8 bronze watches are a solid alloy, so there isn’t coating that will rub off to where you can see the “base”. All that said, polishing, cleaning, removing patina, refinishing, etc… all these things can ruin the original watch finish. The brushed areas won’t be as crisp and the lines won’t be fine. And the high polished surfaces might be hazy. So basically, clean and polish you watch with care if you’re going to try to refinish it yourself. Or otherwise, learn to appreciate the patina and how it changes with you over time.
Good review of watch lume. I'm in Toronto Canada. I recently bought a Bertucci A-3P Sportsman watch and a Casio Duro. Both watches are pretty nice "beater" watches, good value watches for the money. One thing that stands out to me is that the lume on my Bertucci is way better than on the Casio Duro.
Hello. I have Omega Speedmaster, very old watch, automatic, and I have this part for regulating, but there is no + and - . It doesn say where is + and where s -. Can this part be adjustet at all? Does every automatic have this part for adjusting it? Now, the watch is in hurry 6 minutes every day.
I would try to find a manual of its movement on the internet, where there should be such details of the regulator. If I didn't find this manual, or found it and still wouldn't be sufficiently confident about regulating the watch's time by myself, I'd try to find a qualified watchmaker who knows how to handle old watches properly. I don't believe in taking uncalculated risks.
Now that I have my watch, it seems to very consistent 6-8 seconds a day. I'm going to wait until three months before I adjust it. Or I will live it as is.
@@WizardWatchMany who don't fuss about accuracy in mechanical watches that aren't high end prefer it this way and it's okay. The opposite position is lots of fun IMO (if it doesn't become an obsession that compromises healthy aspects of one's life) -- enthusiasts strive to get the best precision that these watches can deliver. Considering that Seiko 5s, for example, can rival so many high end chronometers in precision per day for such a low price -- especially (but not necessarily) if they're regulated -- it seems to me very exciting. In fact, the only reason I didn't purchase the Seiko 5 equivalent of a Rolex Datejust 2 years ago was that it had become a bit too costly to my taste.
Great and relaxing video good job. I am watching it while wearing the exact same watch. I love the watch too. The strap is great but also same problem that it is way too long. We all know only casual people buy this watch why did they make the strap too long. Professional divers with a dive suit use Omega and other high end stuff to dive with not an Orient. I never use the strap because how long it is. It is sad because its really soft and comfortable. Crown is small but its OK. Other than that its really unique watch with nice colors. I love Orient great brand I have 2 Orients and 1 Orient Star.
The miyota 9000 series is one of the best bang for buck movements. People complain about rotor wobble but ive never experienced that. Now eta 7750, that has real rotor wobble.
