Yeah you can! Most electronics these days are multi voltage, going from 100V-240V, so make sure our PC is just in case. I had my American Macbook there the whole time I was a student. With your PS, I would keep in mind region-locked games and all that too.
Great video! I'm a current middle science school teacher and I'm looking to apply this year to the JET program. How much Japanese did you know initially know going in? I took 2 semesters of beginning Japanese at university which got me to solid N5 - emergent N4 level of Japanese (I haven't actually taken the JLPT, but from looking at sample test questions this seemed to be the case).
I was at a conversational level which helped a ton, but you definitely don't NEED to know it. I always recommend people brush up on Japanese before heading over because not only does it make life easier, it's helps to build upon what you already know once you're over there.
dude! welcome back!! i used to watch your videos back when i was fresh out of high school and now i'm a 2021 (technically 2020) JET! i still watch your old vlogs with Thomas and everyone to hype myself up about going to japan haha
Thank you so much for subscribing! Honestly I don’t think I have a big enough following for a discord server yet lol, I want to do it eventually! But I do stream around 10:30 Central time every day if that helps!
@@海豚ちゃん-n6h pm! No worries, looking it up it looks like that would be 11:30 PM Toronto time, which is kinda late :( I have been thinking about starting earlier, but haven’t made it official yet
@@fahadinjapan 11PM isn’t too bad!! I really would like to come to your lives!! You’ve really inspired me to start studying again and you’re very cool :D! Also when you speak Japanese you sound so fluent I hope to be as good as you!! T.T
Whoa! You’re back! I have to say that I also switched to snowboard a year ago. I fell a lot at first but would never go back to skiing. I think snowboarding is more fun even though I am not good at it yet.
I'm back! Well, kinda, I've moved back to the States for a bit, but I plan to move back to Japan soon. That's awesome. I'm so glad I picked it up. Even falling is fun for me lol
A little bit of everything really! At this point I'd say I have a strong grasp on the language since I've been speaking/studying for 10 years, but I just thought I might as well learn the Kanji bit too while I'm at it lol
Hi Bill! I ended up moving back to the States so I don't really upload anymore. I do have some leftover old footage left which I might upload sometime and also give a life update. I do plan on moving back to Japan at some point so the channel may very well come back!
@@fahadinjapan nice dude. When are gonna move back? Just wanna know when I should be potentially looking forward to the channel returning. Also a life update or some old footage would be fantastic!
@@billbosconovitch752 Mann I know I still get messages asking if I’m alive lol, a life update would be good. I’m hoping end of year! Big life changed planned this year and Japan would be the final destination lol
@@allisonseaman9673 Congrats on your placement! I started a Kyoto Line group chat if you want to join! Just a couple Kyoto-bound friends and a few current Kyoto ALTs!
@@fayemous631 Hi! Yes, I am with the prefectural BOE so I'm not too sure where in Kyoto I'll be placed yet. There's a Kyoto LINE group chat if you want to join!
Super late reply, but no unfortunately not, only after graduating college. But definitely look into study abroad programs and scholarships if you're interested in going!
AsalamoAlikum dear fahad i am your khala u looking soooooo sooooo much cute handsome and you are the best son in the world and we loveeeeeee uuuuuuuu sooooooooo much my deaest little angel
Hey, idk if you already got your answer, but my JET coordinator said there's no way to extend your time with JET past what they allow. If you want to stay in Japan you have to find a job with a different company or program.
Yeah I did, it's not like a regular credit card where they check credit history, it's just like their payment management system. You don't even get a physical card or number
