Thank you! Honestly I found TikTok to be extremely helpful! Nobody specific is coming to mind but I basically just used that as my search engine when I wanted to learn a new technique. Like “how to sew a zipper” or “how to use a walking foot.” I found it more helpful than anything bc the TikTok’s were straight to the point and short so I could easily watch them over and over again throughout the process.

Is it normal to care for animals but not use a high-pitched voice when talking to them? I never really learned how to do that, but I don't think that's indicative of any less passion in regards to caring for animals. I'd love to see other people's perspectives on this idea.
It was nice to see the video of what you do at the animal shelter. I am interested in helping and taking care of animals like you. It was amazing how you were interested in and interacting with each dog in the shelter. After watching this video, I thought I should try to find and improve the problems of society with observation. And I want to be an adult who can help animals or people in need like you someday. 10711
I feel the same! Actually that's why I'm exploring ethical brands, clean beauty (vegan and eco certified brands, etc.) and buiyng way more less than a few years ago. I'm totally into smaller brands (like Avril, Ere Perez...) and happier with my makeup and with the people I'm supporting.

I’m excited you’re back and for this pivot! I actually got back into sewing this year too as a NY resolution. I’ve been using my mom’s old sewing machine and slowing working towards making a summer wardrobe to keep me from buying new clothes lol. One advice I’ve seen is to thrift fabrics instead of always buying them new, which you’re doing and inspiring me to do it too! Can’t wait to see more of your journey and sewing content!

I love this pivot! No idea if you would remember me but I’ve been a subscriber for ages. I too kind of pivoted my interests from beauty to crafting-I do crochet and knit now as a creative outlet. I have a sewing machine too but haven’t been able to get a hang of the basics to get really into it. I might give that little bag a try! I’d be down to sew along with you if you ever do more basic tutorials/sew-with-me type of videos. 😁🩷
