Any regrets with the cam choice? Im looking at the same exact setup except the 1 3/4 LTs and i cant decide if the gpi stage 2 is too much for a daily with factory converter
No regrets on the cam, if anything a slightly smaller one to help on the torque down low. I think the stage 2 would be too much on the stock converter. I’m running a Circle D billet triple disc 3200.
I average 13-14 going back and forth to work. But I have a good bit of slowing down and speeding back up. I’m also fairly aggressive with the gas pedal😂 On long/easy drives can get 17ish.
Does this have another small muffler after the rear axle? Im going to use stock escalade exhaust on a 6.2 build. The exhaust i picked up has 2 mufflers. The large one and another small one after the axle. My setup is the very similar to yours but i would like it more quiet
How do you find the sound while driving I’ve got the same motor in my same year yukon with a little bit of a cam and was hoping to get the same headers once they come of backorder and run the factory exhaust
You can cam it and keep it fairly quiet man. A bigger muffler helps, some people will actually run 2 mufflers in line with each other. Another big factor is if your are running longtube heads or stock manifold.
Aight how would you rate its daily drivability? I’ve got the exact same truck. I want that sound but the truck needs to continue to be reliable transportation for me.
9/10, Been driving it daily for close to 4 years on this setup besides lowering it. When I was leveled on 33s I could pull my 33ft camper no problem. I drive it outta state and back every hitch since I work in the oilfield. The biggest thing is your tuner and always keeping 91-93 oct in it.
TwistedQJ sweet. I run 93 all the time anyway. I’ve got a diablo sport tuner. Which I can use to upload custom tunes? I’m still learning here. Trying to figure out how much it’s all gonna cost and if it’s worth it.
Joshmeself Highup that’s why, I ran long tube headers and my borla for about 2 years and never had any “too loud” complaints. After my cam swap I had a lot of people as it was too much haha
preston hatten when do you get back? imma probably order me a different exhaust setup. The stock muffler dropped my gas mileage lol 20 to 15.5 on the interstate🤷🏻♂️

@@twistedqj1670 and before you say a flex cant do 140 withput mods all you need is a tune done to take the limiter off at 115mph. It will do more than 140 without work done. Your truck gearing will not allow it to do 140. You struggling to get to 100 mph.
Installing the GPI LLT VV2 cam in my 08 H2 L92, curious if GPI tuned your truck after the cam install? I also went with the 2800 Circle D converter. Truck sounds strong thanks for sharing, don't see a lot of videos on the GPI truck stuff.
I had a guy local to me tune it but I’m thinking about bringing it to GPI for a street tune. I wanted something different than a TSP or BTR cam and I had heard good things about GPI!
@@twistedqj1670 Thanks, Yea I had researched possible cams for the L92 and stumbled across the GPI site, looks like they do a lot of vette and camaro stuff.
@@twistedqj1670 who won that race ive heard the new 10 speed 5.0s are pretty quick nice truck by the way I have a 12 model 6.2 with the same mods headers intake bb tune haven't been beat by a truck yet but a new challenger rt pulled about 3-4 cars on me and a coupe Mercedes embarrassed me lol
Peyton Ezernack I ran a extended cab a couple times. Once from a 45 roll and from a 25, I got him both times but I think he was shifting manually and redlined. When I run him again we will get some better videos.
Matt Stone 223/235 .640 lift. Circle D triple disc 3200. loud as hell in the cab lol I'm gonna run my exhaust further back with a resonator to help. I'll try and get some driving vids too
