This is the RU-vid home of Mario Proulx. I am primarily an instrument maker(Proulx Guitars & Mandolins), but also the creator and maker of all "Tortoloid" products. I am also a "jack of all trades" and as such, this channel may appear to be a mess, as it is a hodgepodge of short videos that I wish to share, on the varied subjests that I dabble in.
Perhaps someday, I will create a new channel dedicated to just one subject, and keep it focused. Suggestions?
Thanks for checking-in. Unfortunately, all is not well. My wife died, 4 weeks ago today, and I'm struggling mightily with that fact. But knowing that some, like you, still check in on me helps...! Thanks!
Oh! Thank you so damned much for playing this old tear jerker. I'd played forever ago, but hadn't picked up my guitar in many decades. Thank you I'm Dustin it off and making an awful noise with it, but it's coming back around. And it's nice you show the love for your beast I truly don't believe I'd have lived long after my amazingly beautiful and patient knowledgeable wife past a few years ago if it weren't for my fur bearing monsters. Thank you so very much. Jim.
Gotta tell ya Mario... It's very soothing and I needed that right now. It's amazing though... as it got to the end, I was rooting for the big slab to move first, and was so surprised when it was the sections closer to shore breaking up and shifting first. Very cool bud...
You gave me goosebumps with that one, Mario. You picked the perfect verse to turn into a chorus, and spoke what needs to be spoken. Thank you for that!
@@keithclark486 Okay, I looked him up and found the bender. Not at all similar to mine. Mine is very discreet, and pulls the string at the headstock, not the bridge. Makes a huge difference... :)
Thanks for the song Mario. So sad that we lost John Prine. Wonderful guitar. I got a chance to play one way back in the 70's and was surprised by how good it sounded. I'd never seen anything except spruce and a company called Yamaki was just starting to bring in cedar. Thanks again for brightening up my day, and stay well.
