Having batteries outside the van isn't ideal . 1st in sub zero conditions it effect the batteries performance . 2nd the batteries are open to mechanical damage
What’s the reason for fusing solar panels? As I understand it they have a maximum current output and if your cabling and controller are rated for that maximum current, it will never be possible to pull more current through those fuses than they are rated for anyway? Where’s the excess current coming from to blow the fuses if solar panels cannot make more than their maximum current?
Ummmmm, just a quick question: if you dont have drive to tjose wheels, who gives a tosd wheter the back wheel remains on the ground ir not? I dont get the whole "look ma, I have flex" on a caravan.
Hey guys loved the face distortion at 5.40 😂😂 been pissin myself all day each time I think about it😂😂, I'm from Sydney about to head to Nth territory for a bit then on to the Kimberleys, hope to come across you one day, you crack me up , safe travels
Hey guys, must say I enjoy your videos. If you don’t mind I have a question. Retirement age coming soon and I’m looking at buying a small hybrid. Have found a nice looking tanami x11 . 2021 model. Think the same as your first van. Has some hail damage on roof, but only cosmetic, price seems reasonable, van looks in good condition. I would have to travel from Tasmania to purchase it in Victoria.. I have a 2017 Ranger for towing so that should be ok. What you guys think about the Tanami. Just a bit worried about the quality etc.. anyway thank you for any advice. Again, great work 👍
Let’s just say that the UK and all of the Commonwealth countries have an issue with laws and rules within the last decade. What up with that? They need to be aware of the fact there are two major chemistries! I leave in the EU but originally from the states. An architect by trade worked in construction since I was 10 years of age until I graduated from university. Also a FCC licensed technician for communications equipment. I have no issues with Lithium iron phosphate batteries in an internal space. Now as for Lithium polymer batteries as found in EV's, these are the unstable devils in the industry. In the USA insurance companies have started to cancel home owners insurance policies due to the recent rise in garage fires that will usually take out the home. Even many car parks are banning EV's in their properties. Parking your car and ignoring the warnings the vehicle can be towed and neither the towing company or car parks are liable for damages to your car. The more fuses in the system the better. I have made many vehicle installs of comms gear in all types of vehicles and we fuse everything. Even the negatives are fused and run to the battery directly. I have seen many YT videos where they are using too small conductors between batteries and inverters and everything in between the solar panels and batteries. DC is a different animal, distance between items and the loads that need to be taken into consideration. I use high quality welding cables for heavy loads, these cables are made of many, many fine copper conductors that will carry everything properly. Keep up the good work on bringing the truth to the public without any BS!
Shouldn't really of had to pay so much for a new drone, you had the old controller can buy the drone on its own. If you want to sell the old controller let me know 👍
Another great episode guys, thanks for keeping the ‘that’s livin Shazza’ alive. Can’t wait until I can eventually see all these fantastic places that you show us.❤️❤️
That’s insane. The suspension on the caravan has the caravan riding smoother and flatter than the Landcruiser. Looks great - incredible flex!!! I’m Interested to see what it’s like cornering on tar.
Thank you, much appreciated. I would say tho, that lithium iron & lithium ion sound very similar & perhaps some people watching this might not even know both exist, so may be confused when seeing either in writing. I know you showed that LIFEPO4 is what to look out for, I just think it would’ve cleared up any confusion if you’d said specified iron phosphate vs ion.
is this only if you have the external power input into your van? i have a camper van conversion but dont have shore power point. biggest issue is having to try and box and vent the batteries that are under the bed
Wow, that’s an awesome location no argument there! Still think you guys need to create a TV channel you are soooo good together, informative, entertaining and ‘true blue’ Aussies.
Hi Sarah, get yourself a digital meat (probe) thermometer. You'll never have to worry about underdone chook again. Cook to the right internal temperature and all safe and spot on. Same for other meats no more guess work or stabbing the meat to check the juices and guessing now well done. Just cook to the right temperature and it will be spot on.
