I know propane systems can be dangerous if implemented incorrectly, but it seems like a simple one tank, one line, and one output "system" could be isolated and made relatively safe and easy to operate in a campervan. You cannot get anywhere close to the energy density of propane with batteries, and powering a closed off incinerating toilet with an external vent seems like the best practical use for it.

I got a medium size Trelino with a wooden lid held in place by magnets instead of the soft close plastic lid. The lid does not bounce off when I am driving. The lid is completely removed when the toilet is used. The wooden lid allows the Trelino to also be a small table or foot stool. I got this when I was still tent camping, but planning to buy a van for a DIY camper. The Trelino fit under my camping cot and is currently kept under the bed I built for my van. The medium size Trelino is about the size of a milk crate or bankers box and it is a bit taller than the small size without being too tall to tuck under the bed. It is comfortable to use. As a female, I have had no issues with where to sit for proper separation of pee and poo. I did make a small modification to the pee jug to help make it easier to completely empty. I cut a 5/8 inch hole in one of the upper corners of the jug and used a rubber stopper to seal it. When I empty it, I remove the stopper and pour through the hole like a tea kettle. because the hole is in a corner, it is easier to completely empty the jug than it was when I removed the lid from the center of the top of the box-shaped jug. The stopper was actually sold as an accessory by Trelino, probably to plug the urine hole in the separator, but I never used it for that. I empty my Trelino after one or two days of use. It is mostly used after dark or before sunrise. It is never very full when I empty it, but I empty it frequently so it won't become full.

GREAT VIDEO!! NECESSARY!! You have 2 mistakes, 1st incineration toilets have several companies who manufacture them not just the 2. Most importantly you left out a great option tge Wrappon toilet. It heat seals each "GO "! Leaving you eith a small package 📦 which is easily disposed of without a long twisted bunch of filled mylar. Great choice highly recommend! Only crappt part is the esthetic. I have seen people make them nicer with some minor creativity. 😉

Separating the liquid from the solid is a bad idea for the environment, because the only way to stabilize the nitrogen in the urine is the carbon. The urine in contact of air or water will bond with oxygen or hydrogen to become toxic molecules as ammoniac (NH3) or nitrates (NO2 and NO3) . So the best is to fill the bottom of your bucket with a thick layer of absorbing carbon matter to let the nitrogen bond with the carbon to form nutritive and organic molecules as amino acids. This is the most good for the environment which create a better and more balance compost.

So if anyone wants firsthand account of the Incinolet toilet, I've had one for two years now, here's my take on the 120v and 50 amp cord for power... If you're only using it for solids, it runs for two hours, and it mostly turns into a pooh shaped pile of ash... If you're using it for solids and liquids, once you drop it into the pits of Hell, there's unfortunately a splashdown effect, and you'll have to do a deep clean on the underside of the bowl, and it's pretty gross... If the Incinolet had a urine diverter, it might not be so bad, but it's not ideal... My better half uses the bathroom for liquids between 5-8 times a day, and that's a lot of liners for a single day... So it's not ideal when they sell the liners in packs of 200... So we're looking at replacing it in the near future... Cheers! 🖤🦇

I like the toilet that you do your duties and flush with liquid just like a house just use the toilet rv liquid freshener ..or real toilet sorry do not want to play with bag or sawdust you are just adding more stuff to the already packed land fill ... Water is usually free and the liquid is not bad priced and last awhile ..And dump site or toilet is always around just use freeway bathrooms ..Find toilet with a cassette that is small enough to handle for ya .. I have one in my other cabin works great no smell ...Just put paper in a lavender trash bag instead of toilet if real bad just put in toilet...

Some promaster's have a generator under the van. I am guessing this would help lift that out of the way?

We have a natures head and we use it 80% of the time for both transactions. It is hard to clean. To many nooks and crannies. But it allows us to use the off grid cabin easily. But it does well with the composting and the urine bottle is large. Also when your taking out the urine bottle put the lid on it then it won’t splash out and we have a second bottle so we can change out when we have a full bottle. And you’re correct to say they could do better even if it’s making easier to clean the compositing compartment!

Some of these manufacturers forgot one important aspect of these products - size and portability. Some of these products, even if nice, they are like taking the toilet from your home and bringing with you on the camping trip. Besides that - thank you for the very nice overview/review of these products.

The dry flush option has a garbage bag liner, so if the Mylar rips, you’ll likely be ok.

LOVE the cutting board on the outside flip down table, and the fact that there's an outlet. Snacks and blended drinks! Also, I'd get the portable induction burner - you could take it out to the outdoor table 😻 Also love the step drawer and the slide out tray in the garage. I guess one could put a 2 person seat with seatbelts in the dinette area?
